About Revenant Saga

Become a Revenant and find the truth beyond revenge in this gothic fantasy RPG with stunning 3D battles!

Boasting a story that blurs the lines between good and evil, a refined 3D battle system, and plenty of content to go around, this is one title not to be missed!

A Quest for Revenge

After being turned into an immortal being known as a "Revenant" and learning of the existence of a demon within him, Albert sets out on a journey to make the person who did this to him pay with their very life. However, as he runs into others along the way dealing with their own figurative demons, what is the answer he finds...?

Transform and Lay Waste to the Enemy!

By transforming in battle, party members can change their looks, increase their parameters, and crush the enemy using specialized skills.

Customize Weapons!

With the level cap for weapons at 999 and up to 4 assignable effects for each weapon, tinkering has never been this fun. As for how and what weapon players chooses to customize, it is entirely up to them! Weapon effects can be set up to reflect players' unique battle styles.

Plenty to Keep Players Engaged

1. Powerful equipment with a catch, but when combined in the right way boost fighting capabilities into the stratosphere!
2. Record keepers give the party valuable rewards for earning trophies, but do you as the player have what it takes to collect them all?
3. Once the game has been completed, the party can then challenge even more powerful monsters!

✦ AI summary

Players have mixed feelings about this Kemco JRPG, with some praising it as one of the better entries in the developer's catalog with solid music, decent challenge, and an engaging story with a true ending, while others find it mediocre with a generic plot, overpowered mechanics that make combat trivial even on bosses, and technical issues like hard-to-read text that flies across the screen too quickly. The game's artwork is consistently noted as a highlight, though the overall experience falls short of hidden gem status for most critics.

Had to see for myself if Kemco games were some sort of old-school JRPG hidden gems. They aren't. One of the worst things I've ever played. You can tell it was programmed by a handful of beat and broken soulless coders. At least the artwork is good though. Stay far far away from Kemco.

I finished revenant saga including the postgame stuff for the true ending. I liked it a lot, definitely one of the better Kemco games. great music, I quite liked the plot, some good challenge without being ridiculous, didn't get meta or screw you over with false endings (there was a neutral and a true). the attempt at 3d isn't too bad either, considering this is a port of a budget phone game.

Exe games are not known to be highlights of the JRPG genre. Even so, this one is only a little above mediocre. The story is like a step for step Make an JRPG 101....absolut nothing outstanding. In fact the game mechanics make this a walk in a park. You get so many different items that boost your characters or weapons that most times I played with automatic fight...even boss fights are not more than 1 - 3 rounds and done. Like usual with Exe games you get your normal ending...and than can play till the true ending. No, you can't miss the true ending. The game offers absolutely no choice. It is linear without exploring unknown territories. Eh, after you get your ship you can visit some places for easy grinding (metal enemies...giving you over 1 million points with the right equipment). Takes maybe 1 hour and you are level 300 and unstoppable. Can I recommend this game (don't be confused during my playtime I was watching movies ;-) ) Nope can't recommend this. If you wan't one of Exe games....look for another one (they all play the same but some are a little better made).

It's kind of hard to get into the story when the text just flies across my screen so I barely can read it. I'm also not a fan of how fast the sprites move around and their animation makes me think everyone is highly caffeinated. Too bad. The artwork looks nice and the story seemed interesting but the game itself is a bit clunky.
