Ricky Raccoon 2 - Adventures in Egypt

Oh Ricky, you and your wonderful adventures. They are always full of treasure and Match-3 and funny interactions between characters. These are simple, but get the point across. This time we get to visit Egypt! That and restore artifacts and where they are located. It is pretty and designs are cool too! The music and sound effects work well together to ensure your adventure is enhanced with some upbeat tunes. As you continue to explore, you get to do a variety of different types of Match-3 levels. This way, you don't have to repeat the same challenge over and over again. After you get enough money, you face the trials. You can do it! The game is colorful and the gem speed is pretty quick! There are power ups to explode or electrocute or even board wipe it all! So overall, challenging if you play the "timed mode" and relaxing, if you play the "relaxing mode." Does what it says on the can, its a nice match 3 with an Egyptian theme. Its well done for its genre with crisp graphics and pleasant sound effects/music. You'll have seen a very close derivative of this a million times before. There's lots like this on Steam (or if you're being more frugal on freeware sites like GameTop.com) and despite some slightly different modes there's nothing to make this really stand out from the pile. However, if you have a bit of money burning a hole in your pocket (its not really worth the full asking price but maybe a couple of quid in a sale seems fair) and a match 3 itch to scratch then its an enjoyable, family safe option if you like this kind of thing.

Ricky Raccoon 2 is exactly the same as Ricky Raccoon 1, simply set in Egypt, with an egyptian tune but the same super cuteness as the previous game. So a good Match 3 choice.

The sequel to RR follows the same dull concept as the original. Essentially, this is almost the exact same as the original RR; the only minor differences is that the 'story' is set in Egypt now, it has a grand total of one new puzzle type and some backgrounds and music have changed. Since it's almost a carbon copy of the original, it has all the flaws from the first: lack of depth and dull, repetitive gameplay makes it difficult to justify the price you'll be paying for.
