This was my first time with the OG. I wanted to be a tourist but I felt like I owed the Gods to max the death screen. I started Medium and each episode I increased the difficulty. I hate hit scanners, no cheese, and the maps made want to scream. Traps didn't bother me nearly as much as 2013. Either way, I was always running out of HP. Search for keys, shoot them on their knees. Time for selfie. What an awful right of passage. Sponges and key mazes are laaame. I only did it so I don't have to lie about it. Thanks for the bonus episode, after playing everything one after another it got to be a bit much, but if that was all I had to do and everything else was already done, I probably would have geeked. I appreciate the depth the new levels bring, I just really wanted to go home. Drive your car off a cliff? Yes. 7.6K on SH7 found this helpful
I'm on the fence with this game. It's interesting to play from a gaming history perspective if you're into boomer shooters. Some of the levels are really well designed, others are abysmal mazes. Some of the power-ups are hilarious, others just weird or annoying. Cool to have so much variety with the pick-up rocket weapons, but only one being able to be carried at a time the inevitable outcome is the machine gun gets used all of the time. I flipped back and forth between having fun and being bored out of my mind with this game. Overall it just isn't worth the price point, even on sale.4 found this helpful
Switch hunt Basically, you are searching for switches. The insufficient map makes it even more frustrating.3 found this helpful
I am not a ROTT expert but this appears to be a rare nightdive W. optional enhancements or additions have a toggle so you can actually experience the game as intended for the most part. workshop support with a new easy-to-use in-game editor is huge. you also get a nice bonus in the gzdoom mod return of the triad which I honestly view as bloat and wouldn't mind seeing as like an optional free dlc you could toggle on or off but its still nice I suppose. was available through a complete your collection and after owning rott remake and the original rott release on steam, was able to save even more1 found this helpful
meh, not my type of game didn't live up to how friends were hyping it, at least the music is good1 found this helpful
Do you want to play a weird, obscure FPS from the 90's that got overshadowed by Doom? Yes. Yes you do.
