About ROTii

ROTii is a puzzle/platformer game with a tiny hero, but huge charm. The first game developed by DarkShot Studios, the game follows the adventures of our protagonist, ROTii; a 4 inch-tall cleaning robot who is programmed to clean germs and eradicate bugs! Its creator, the brilliant, yet lazy Dr. Nida has armed ROTii with the mighty Vac-Pack, a high-powered vacuum backpack that can suck up objects and spit them out at high speeds. ROTii is truly a product essential for any modern household!

In ROTii, each of the levels is something of an obstacle course within one of Nida’s rooms. Objects, enemies, and traps stand between ROTii and the exit, and the player must use their mighty vacuum cleaning to get through them all. By using it, ROTii can push and pull heavy items to create new paths. The vacuum is also capable of sucking in certain enemies and objects, then spitting them out as high speed projectiles.

The puzzles are made up of ordinary objects found in Nida’s ordinary home. The player must think about old concepts in a new light to make it to the end. All the while, Bite Mites are chasing you, shooting at you, or even trying to crush you.

ROTii will have nearly 20 environments to explore, as well as some epic and giant boss battles. There are also secret items and unlockables for the truly skilled gamer.

In the short time I've already spent playing this, I've had a lot of fun with it! I find the game very cute and charming in its many environmental puzzles, which are cleverly incorporated into the levels and are simple enough to figure out without too much trouble, but also leave you feeling smart for having solved them. I got it for a dollar at Comic-Palooza, but I'd definitely say it's worth the $2 on Steam and more. Indie developers like this do well to inspire others to bring their ideas to life. Keep up the good work, DarkShot!

A simple but adorable puzzle platformer, it's kinda like Kirby without copy skills. The little robot doesn't have much more than his vacuum, but that doesn't make the game any less fun. Levels are nice to explore and sometimes offer entertaining alternative gameplay mechanics (ever wanted to cruise on a rubber ducky? Now you can finally realize that dream!), puzzles require some thinking but are rarely (if ever) frustrating, and even the bosses are pretty satisfying in their overall simplicity. Most of the platforming is fairly easy, making the game perfect for younger gamers, with the hidden collectables and achievements being a neat incentive for those who like to aim for completion. The music is relaxing and goes well with the cute aesthetics. And all of this for just 2€, so really, it's completely worth its price. The only complaint I have is that not all "bugs" I encountered could be just sucked up, as one of them regularly crashed the game when traversing a certain (unavoidable) platform in one of the levels and almost made the stage unwinnable; luckily I was able to avoid triggering it and managed to progress, but it's worth pointing out. Something similar happened once whi…

I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing. Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side. With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of y…
