I enjoyed the Battle Chasers Nightwar and was immediatly intrigued by this game after finding out it was the same studio. I found Ruined King more balanced that their original game. I thouroughly enjoyed the experience.
While I personally liked it, it's just jank and quirky enough that I could understand someone finding it absolutely unplayable. Definitely not a game for everyone
It's a fun RPG that should keep you entertained for ~26 hours. And if you're a completionist, it makes the journey a breeze for you. You don't need to have played league to enjoy this. The game has tons of characterizing moments for the each playable character and some of the NPCs. Motivations are good, art is interesting, combat is engaging and rewards creativity. Give it a try!
good game
I bought this game because it's the League of Legends IP, which I love, but the battle system is uninteresting. The iconography of turn order is quite hard to read, and the pacing is pretty slow. It's a bit of a snooze and I am having to work hard to continue playing it. I regret buying it.
