yesyesyes it's so good Writing this, I am most of the way of a second playthrough. I got really into witcher a few years back and wanted to play more witcher and this was great for that. Good story, good characters, mostly good mechanics though the ratio of standard battles to puzzles is a little too high in favour of puzzles. I wish there were a little more talking moments in the tent BUT I get why there isn't, the important stuff is in world events. Love being able to see and explore the witcher world. Ignore that geralt is on the cover, this is Meve's story. His pretty (mileage may vary) mug is mostly just for marketing. Good game, highly reccommend!

I got it on special, it was not what I expected. In the time I played it Geralt did not appear and the Witchers didn’t seem to be a part of the story. The card battle parts were quite limited and partly on rails. Maybe if i give it more time it would further develop, But for me I didn’t find it interesting. I personally don’t recommend it but at the same time I don’t feel it deserves a flat do not recommend.

Truly a gem of a game. Great story & art (especially the voice acting). Gwent (the card game/main gameplay) is actually just a fun game itself. Some of the puzzles were actually puzzling, and the main story gameplay paced itself to rarely feel too difficult or easy (assuming you do not want to retry most fights). Highly recommend to any fans of the Witcher universe or anyone looking for a fun & well made single-player strategy deckbuilder.

Such a gem, and one that I think back upon fondly

Good but doesn't leave much space for deck building in higher difficulties because you don't gain enough resources.

Thronebreaker is a hidden gem. I bought it on a whim because I love The Witcher universe and Gwent. I finished the game in 48 hours total playtime because I enjoyed the story progression and game mechanics. There are some frustrating puzzles that you can skip. Overall a great game and I highly recommend it.
