About RUNNING WITH RIFLES

✦ AI summary

Join the ranks as a common soldier in an open-world tactical shooter where you forge your own path through dynamic campaigns filled with hundreds of locations, vehicles, and emergent AI that adapts to your tactics. Command squads, call in reinforcements, sabotage enemy operations, and tackle side objectives your way—whether you go loud with tanks and artillery or silent as a lone wolf—all backed by deep multiplayer options and full mod support.

RUNNING WITH RIFLES is a top-down tactical shooter with open-world RPG elements.

In RWR, you join the ranks of an army as a common soldier, just like the thousands around you.

The open world approach lets you define your own path and story in the campaign. Push back the enemy with your comrades or go deep behind enemy lines to sabotage their efforts and loot valuable items.

As you gain experience, you are promoted with higher command over soldiers and equipment. Call in artillery fire missions or paratrooper reinforcements when the situation gets tight! Use your squad to man armed boats, tanks and APC's, or, become the expert lone wolf you always aspired to be - it's up to you!

Players praise Runaway: The Dream of the Turtle as a solid tactical shooter with enjoyable single-player and cooperative gameplay, bolstered by the workshop mods (particularly the Warhammer 40K mod) that add replayability and variety. However, multiplayer servers are a major pain point, with complaints about admin abuse, inconsistent rule enforcement, poor AI teammates that fail to defend positions, and exploitative farming tactics that frustrate progression. The game is best enjoyed solo or with friends rather than on public servers.

game is not worth it, the admins/mods have massive double standards, they dont even follow their own server rules. admins will farm not alowing teams to progress and then kill people for moving forward, complain about those that progres, and will TK you by droping 3 jeeps on your bleeding out body while theres an armory right next to them.... solo or with friends only is all i can say about this game, the admins even deleted my post about me agreeing with the concept of names from difrent countrys isnt the issue, its their double standard for gameplay, in terms of actual game play solo or with friends its alright, but id still go ARMA any day, yah top down is fun, but its realy dumb when ppl just want to farm locations with infitate oncoming spawns

Really fun SP / MP iso shooter. With the Warhammer 40k mod it becomes one of my favorite 40k games. Other workshop mods add a lot of replayability and variety too. For single player, it a bit like a simple version of Foxhole that you can play offline, or jump into multiplayer if that's your jam. Totally recommend if it looks interesting.

too easy, 998 kill streaks, at the area with two bridges between two island, EVEN WITH MORON AI ALLIANCE who can't defense while it's freaking 24 vs. 1, they just rush out of the base and simply lose it and soon after killed by the enemies IMMEDIATELY SPAWN from SEVEN PLACES which WERE BELONG TO THEM BUT SPAWN noSHI*g, not even a brainless slug or a worn just need to STAY IN-FREAKING-SIDE OF THE GOD DEAD BASE just after I took it ALONE , and with some dummy in tank I've summoned, NINTH TIME AND THERE'S MORE , so too easy. in VETERAN no modify no change difficulty btw. suggest play in 300% vs. 200% and survival possibility 100% enemy accuracy 75%, friendly 100%, experience times 500%.

This game is quite interesting, from the gameplay all the way to the events, it is quite solid with really cool DLCs that differ the gameplay from the main game, but bear in mind, this game is a Multiplayer driven game, even with all the mods in the workshop a lot is done through Server configurations SOOOO, please keep that in mind. (you still can have a ton of fun, specially alone or with friends through LAN) but it's safe to say, this game is worth the money, and with a new game coming up that differs a lot from this current one, a lot of good things are about to happen !
