RxB - Cyber security management game

Yeah no.. just no. If you are into cybersec, this game will be just silly attack path naming simulator for you, with bit of risk management. I am not sure if they consulted this with anybody from the industry and if yes, they got scammed. Some "attacks" that red team did were just straight up nonsense. Game won't teach you anything new and gets repetitive after first try. Very good idea for a game, but terrible, lazy execution.

This game apparently was developed to get people interested in cybersecurity. It's a good idea. You essentially manage a team of 3 staff members (team blue) to defend your network from a hacker group (team red). I would like to see some more interactivity with the game, some of the options don't seem to make a lot of sense. I think if the advice were free, and things were explained better, I think this could be an excellent educational game. I hope the developers update the game with the following things in mind: * sound effects when making decisions * sound effects when notifications of new threats appear * have each turn get 1 free advice statement, and additional ones cost * the tutorial video is nice, but should be in game, not on vimeo * the player needs more feedback about their actions and the consequences * nodes on the network are not explained; most people won't know what a proxy, IAM, or DMZ are * this could be achieved by an in-game reference guide It's a good idea and solid beginning, but it needs to be gameified a little more to keep players engaged.
