Saga of Sins

Recommended: 7.5/10 If you're looking for a short but stylish action-platformer, Saga of Sins is a solid choice, especially on sale. Saga of Sins succeeds because of its incredible visual style and enjoyable action-platforming. Transforming into different demons is fun, and each sin-themed level has its own personality. However, once you've seen the core mechanics, the game doesn't introduce many new ideas, making the second half feel repetitive. The story has enough twists to stay engaging, but the game's biggest strength is undoubtedly its presentation rather than its gameplay depth. If you're expecting something like Hollow Knight or Blasphemous, you may be disappointed. If you're after a short, polished action game with a unique aesthetic, it's worth your time.

A friend recommended this game to me, glad he did! (and convinced me to install Steam). It is very unique and full of creative ideas! Also plays great and has a clever end-game. Just the beginning is a bit slow, the game and levels get (even) better and more complex in the second half of the game. Animation is a bit stiff but guess this is due to the stained glass nature of the game. Really great game overall!!

Saga of Sins is a really fun experience. The story kept me interested and the transformation abilities made the gameplay feel fresh and varied. The mix of action and puzzle elements work really well. The game also has a nice length, I can really recommend it especially for the price!

This was a fun little shooter platformer game. The controls were not my favorite personally but the gameplay was fun

Yet another game where visuals try to carry the day, but as brilliant as they are, they cannot compensate for all the gameplay weaknesses. Saga of Sins is mostly a platforming action game with a very light upgrade system, thematically organized around the seven sins. The stained glass style visuals are amazing, and the animations mostly fit the middle ages theme, but the combat gameplay gets repetitive quickly, with the addition of new characters only briefly livening up the experience. I liked the idea of the fourth character though, but then again, the designers only touched the surface of the gameplay opportunities he provides. At a significant discount, it's not hard to recommend this game - most probably I wouldn't pay the full 15 EURs for it, though.
