What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Players agree the game suffers from repetitive, shallow combat that relies too heavily on button-mashing basic attacks, along with a bland story bogged down by excessive dialogue and poor pacing. While some appreciate the character designs and the rarity of non-visual novel yuri games, most criticize the awkward animations, lack of enemy variety, and technical presentation issues like frequent loading screens and missing graphical options that undermine the gameplay experience.
i never have played something so trash2 found this helpful
If I'm going to be honest, the games from SHADE Inc. are not the best, the game is on sale now and I'm still kind of disappointed and this seemed to be my thing. I've played 2 other titles from them and the gameplay was kinda bad, maybe more talking than is needed sometimes, but there were some big highlights. This game however, nothing yet, I'll play it a little more to see if that changes. Idk man, it feels like they dropped the ball somewhere. I got this game fairly cheap out of a bundle, I'd still hesitate to recommend it to hack and slash lovers. Maybe I'm just getting too old for games like these.1 found this helpful
very boring, just a dungeon crawler with a bland story and weird animations1 found this helpful
I quite like this game. I think this game is quite important if only because there's a massive lack of non-visual novel yuri games. Though if you enjoy visual novels, this game has that covered pretty well too. The characters are charming and I think the game's art direction is appealing. I think the gameplay itself is where it starts to fall apart for most people, the basic combat can start off feeling pretty repetitive. While you do unlock more moves throughout the game, you'll probably be sticking to a small handful that suits your playstyle and you'll likely never get punished for it. There's not really that much variety in enemy either. I think the demonic difficulty is when the game actually starts to put up a challenge. By then you'd have to juggle more between attacking and dodging enemies' attack while managing the three girls' gauges to maximize your damage. I appreciate having heals be limited and delayed by having to wait for Iyo place it down, this really does add a level of risk and reward into the combat. I am however, quite mixed about having demonic difficulty locked until you've finished hard mode, which itself is locked until you have the main game cleared. O…
first things first i'd like to start by saying that the gameplay for this game is pretty meh and overall shallow.. it boils down to spamming the light attack button a bunch and then pressing the heavy attack one to three times after. dodging when needed, etc. the game it heavy on dialogue with lots of story cutscenes both before levels, sometimes in the middle of levels, and at the end of levels. they have a mix of fan service and actual story beats, and a lot of pacing around in conversations where a lot is being said while nothing of note is being said. the music is fine, the graphics are okay but considering how the game actually performs makes the graphics seem like a joke to be honest. and the graphic settings are non existent. the game is also censored but this is pc gaming so if it truly bothers you you can mod it out. now, with all that being said.. why do I recommend it? in the end the story isn't terrible. and by the end of things you'll have done some of the character side quests to learn more about them and become attached. the end is bittersweet and in a way subverted my expectations. its the kind of story where the saying "it's about the journey not the destination" r…
The story itself was bland, the characters were nice and combat wasn't as bad as people were saying- it's like a simplified musou combat but with only one playable character and three supports (so far, I dunno if there's more later). What killed the game is the presentation of the story. How they managed to mess up something as simple as 3D visual novel style storytelling is beyond me. Characters have bad expressions, odd poses, animations that didn't match what was supposed to be happening on the screen, absolute lack of any items, even though main character has a sword that she uses in cutscenes and a smartphone that's used constantly. But the absolute clincher are loadings- sometimes multiple loadings in the same conversations, making what should've been a 1 minute cutscene into 2 minutes. Not really worth my time, which is a shame. I like the idea, but the execution is severely lacking.
