Warning: Asset Flip! "Save Giant Girl from monsters 4" is a Russian asset flip, or what Valve calls a "Fake Game". The "developer" paid for/pirated someone else's example/template/tutorial game, changed the name/reskinned a couple of things, and submitted it to Valve as if it was their own game.
In this particular asset flip, the Russian developer stole a 3D model of an anime girl, a helicopter sim template, and some balloon assets, and slapped it all together in the space of 2-3 hours to make a rudimentary "game". The premise remains beautifully uncompromising: the Giant Monster Girl stands before the unrelenting horde, and I defend her with every weapon, resource, and fragment of concentration available to me. She does not run. She does not hide. She places her faith entirely in me. This was a mistake on her part, but I will spend the rest of my life trying to become worthy of it. Each attack that slips past my defenses feels personal. I do not simply watch her health decrease—I experience it spiritually. A single missing pixel from that bar sends me through all five stages of grief, sometimes before the next enemy even appears. The monsters grow stronger. The pressure builds. My hands tremble. Somewhere beyond my scre…
