Flash Fiction in Video Game Form Ultimately, this review ends in a Yes recommendation only because it will help this game get de-classified as shovelware, and because there's no Maybe option. Sayo is a quaint little walking simulator set in a slightly unsettling, slightly charming snowy townscape. You start the game, Sayo admits she can't remember anything and that's it. You're left to figure out the rest of the game on your own. Great for people who really don't like to have their hands held even a little bit. For a 5$ walking sim, the map is actually rather large, so inevitably you'll just start blindly wandering around, maybe stumbling across the odd memory here or there, and perhaps even just kinda lose yourself in the surreal calm the game's world exudes. It took me 7.5 hours to do 2 playthroughs of this game. the first at about 3.5 hours, where i got ending 1. the second at about 4 hours where i found all memories and got ending 2. this game is a masterpiece. it's simple. it's definitely not going to be for everyone. but if you want something that will make you feel all kinds of emotions, this game is definitely worth playing through to completion. list of emotions a playthrough of this game will make you feel: - wonder - helplessness - longing - confusion - triumph - frustration - wonder - worry - happiness - awe - doubt - fulfillment - sorrow - comfort and potentially more! (in no particular order) also, this game is deceptively difficult. its a lot about memorizing minute details in the map. learning how to navigate in an often disorienting environment. it also serves as one of the more difficult platformers i have played in the last 15 years. i may update this review with a more proper review at some point, but I mainly just wanted to let it be known that if you see people saying this game is too difficult because it lacks HUD or because of the short draw distance or because of some other reason, take a second to ask yours…1 found this helpful
