Alrighttttttttttt...............! Yeah... This H.O.G. is okay. It ain't great, but it ain't that bad either. I like the weird mystery (wish we got to know more about it... But okay) and: -> If you want a positive ending? Play the Story Mode *only* -> If you want a cliffhanger? Play the Bonus Content too. I like how this game started off puzzles by making them rather simple and then progressed them into much harder ones. I would comment on how many items you are given, but... I've played a H.O.G. where I held nearly 30 items and well... This is completely fine... Lol...... THE [b]ONLY[/b] PART I will complain about is this: [i]sometimes[/i] you will get stuck and the "Hint system" is like "NAH! THERE IS NOTHING TO DO ANYWHERE!!!!!"............. My advice? Use the "Strategic Guide". Second advice? It's most likely the window. For *some* reason... The Hint system hates windows. I got stuck TWICE because of a damn window!! That and the mouse pointer isn't always clear you can go up or this or which way or wherever and eh... It's trial and error, but it's minor compared to getting stuck. >..> That's it. Decent HOG. Nice artwork & sound, interesting story, and no overly convoluted puzzles. Felt a bit rushed at the end, but enjoyed it overall.

For those who like Hidden Object Games, I recommend this one. It's that perfect mix of puzzles with an interesting location to keep you exploring. The art style on the hidden object screens make finding the objects a nice challenge since they don't stick out. (There are no morphing objects, for those curious). There are some puzzles where it definitely helped that I took notes, especially for an underwater puzzle and one in the bonus chapter (the one that determines the good or bad ending). There's really only one puzzle I personally usually have to skip because it's a pain and the strategy guide (which is usually good for everything else) doesn't help with that one much. The draw of a cursed lighthouse and its history was what led me to buy this game, and I was happy with all the lore from the newspapers and logs around the setting. I only have a few critiques. Jane and Mike, the player characters, look very rough in cutscenes where they need to emote. Which is weird because the lighthouse keeper Patrick, while gnarly looking, does better in that regard.
