Really fun game to play with your friends and solve little puzzles. It's an interesting concept that the shadow is 2D and the boy is 3D but they move a bit funky. You also can't play online with someone else only by remote play together. Besides that it's a fun game
A fun little co-op game!
Shadow Puppeteer has a genuinely clever concept — one player controls a boy through a 3D environment while the other plays as his shadow in 2D — and when the co-op clicks, there are moments that had me saying 'wow, this game is awesome.' The art style has a charming Tim Burton-esque quality, and the puzzle design shows real creativity. That said, the 3D camera makes depth perception frustrating, the final boss feels poorly playtested, and the tether mechanic that kills you both for drifting apart causes more annoyance than tension. Single player is rough — coordinating both characters simultaneously is a serious ask. If you have a patient couch co-op partner and can grab this on a deep discount, it's worth a session; just don't pay full price for what amounts to a 4-hour game with some rough edges.
nice to find these unique all be it weird games like this one
very fun local coop definitely recommend. as i got it for free it was well worth the experience.
