About Shadows
Shadows is a puzzle-based platformer taking place in a mysterious, silhouetted world. Your goal is to construct a beacon of light to call for help and find your way home. Along the way, you will be able to discover pieces of your past, memories lost after your arrival in the caves. Fireflies will be your guiding light; without them you will enter into the darkness of the caves never to return.
As you make your way through the perilous caves, you’ll overcome mysterious runic riddles, discover hidden pathways, and navigate twisted mazes to find freedom. Your endeavors will be two-fold: Not only will you gather the items needed to construct a beacon to call for help, you will also uncover the dark memories of how you arrived here. Yet, the decision to actually make this beacon or even seek out your past is your own; you can choose to find your way out of the caverns or to start a new life underground by following either of the two paths to the end of your journey. Who are you? What will you do when you know the truth?

Shadows is an early access platformer bathed in the shadows. With the flood of early access games, is this worth picking up? Or is it just another early access game you can skip? [h1]Story[/h1] Finding yourself in a strange dark cave, you have no memory of how you got in there. Armed with only a jar, the fireflies you collect will light your way as you explore. But how can you get out? A huge hole in the ceiling of the cave seems to be the only way to get back to the surface but it's too high and wide for you to climb up. Be ready to construct a beacon to contact the surface with the pieces gathered from various spots in the cave. Be careful as many spikes threaten your life and every wasted second can mean death as fireflies escape. Will you find out how you arrived in the cave? Will you be able to escape the cave before the darkness swallows you? [h1]Gameplay[/h1] Shadows main gameplay is the platforming, making the layout important to enjoy the game. The layout is very interesting, some parts you have to jump from the previous floor, and some you see before you reach the area. Wanted this game since I saw it in the store on the 23rd, today I finally got it and I have to say it has really lived up to my expectations. Simple yet beautiful design and the music is so beautiful and nice. It really calms you down. I'm so glad I was gifted this, I highly recommend people to get this.2 found this helpful
