About Shadows of the Night
PRESENTATION
This is a 2D old-school RPG in the vein of Fantasy Heroes and Skyfall.
A thousand years ago, the country was divided between two kinds, those who were willing to follow principles of truth and justice and those who were not. The latter, were expelled to what is known as the "Outer Lands", beyond the walls of the Night Fortress. The Night Soldiers are the ones entrusted with the duty of keeping the Outers away, being the constant threat that they are, Pallas has his hands full. Having joined the Fortress out of his sense of duty towards protecting his country and most importantly to him, his family, he will soon realize that to truly protect them he will have to abandon it all.

I requested a refund. After just a few minutes it was clear to me that this game is no fun at all. The reasons for this: a) the use of standard RPMaker sets. How many times have I actually visited the same castles/towns? b) the lack of any background story or introduction. A few sentences and you're off to the dungeon where you face the same enemies. c) shortcomings in the structure of the game...It's nice that you send the characters into different fights at the beginning before you bring them together in a party. What is incomprehensible, however, is the zero possibility of healing the characters in between. The healer at the beginning is rubbish and there are hardly any ways to replenish your mana points (finding potions...hardly any, buying potions...too expensive). I also see the beds that you can rest on as a complete mockery...but they are not accessible between fights.1 found this helpful
