Shikhondo: Youkai Rampage is a fast-paced vertical scrolling shooter that builds upon the foundation of the original Shikhondo while expanding its content and presentation. The game is beautiful. The only downside I can think of is that having the same boss theme in every stage grows old very quick.

Doesn't have the screams of the damned destroy my ears after every boss fight.

It's a better than the previous game, but I don't like how zoomed out the camera is compared to the previous one. It's hard to see a lot of the bullets because they are so tiny. The last game didn't have this issue. Wish there was a way to play with the same camera angle as the last game.

I really disliked the game. It is not that bad but there are a few things I hated a lot and they made it really unfun for me. First and foremost, the visibility. It is bad to terrible at times. Too many colours of bullets, there are certain bullets that are the same colour as your hitbox (green). I did not like the movement of non-concentrated mode, it feels too choppy. Some of the patterns felt really random the first few times I dodged them and very unfun to dodge after I learned them. I managed to reach level 3 boss, or level 4 (cannot recall) on Normal and then switched to Easy and beat the game. I do not think it is worth it for me to go back to Normal and try to get better. There are just many more better shmup I could play instead.

Very good game. I like the difficulty, art style and music.
