GAME PLAY VIDEO: https://youtu.be/oesT8mJl-Sg Simple shooter that feels like an early VR title. Blast the robots as they appear on-screen within the time limit. And that's pretty much game in a single sentence. You only have a pistol, there's no other weapons or power-ups. The robots don't fire at you, they're just moving targets. This makes the game rather dull and repetitive after 5 minutes. Kind of a shame as the foundation is there for a more interesting game.
Disclaimer: I've received this game for free via Curator Connect. Shoot the Robots VR is as basic and barebones as the name suggests. It is a standing wave shooter where enemies don't fight back, reminded me of the old Moorhuhn flatscreen games, except they were actually fun and addictive. Gunplay is non existent: there are no noticeable recoil or haptic feedback. Enemies are not satisfying to shoot: they just ragdoll after being hit without any visceral damage animations, that games about shooting robots usually have. The game has only 2 levels, ~10 minutes of bland gameplay, unless you want to replay the same levels with different modifiers or difficulty settings. Visuals are ok, much better in the headset than on screenshots. But there was very annoying graphical glitch, that made right headset lens flicker from time to time, especially often in the main menu. Works on Reverb G2 with native OpenXR
