✦ AI summary
Investigate a sprawling underground mansion as freelance journalist Kyle East, solving technical puzzles and gunning down horrific enemies in this first-person horror shooter. Uncover the dark secrets of an immortal ancient village while navigating raytraced environments that blur the line between reality and nightmare.
Core Gameplay
Step into a game that perfectly mixes horror with a first-person shooter perspective. Complete technical puzzles, fight your way through tough environments filled with enemies, and find out just what has been happening here.
The Background
You play as Kyle East, a middle-aged freelance journalist who lives a very average life. Your goal is to investigate the Walker family’s mansion located in a small forest in Eastend so that you can write a viral news story that could forever change your career.
The mansion was built by the members of the immortal ancient village that have been living off the grid for several centuries. It is believed that the mansion is much vaster in size than it appears on the outside, spanning deep underground.

Find The Darkness
What will you find in the mansion? Are you alone? Will you be able to find out what has been going on there? The darkness is waiting for you, don’t leave it waiting or it’ll find you. There's plenty to explore, investigate and kill.
Gameplay Features
The game favors core gameplay features such as:
- Weaponry, such as guns.
- Inventory management.
- Story-driven narrative to keep the player engaged.
- Immersive graphics and environments for added realism.
- Deep Learning Super Sampling, High Fidelity FX Super Resolution (fallback).
- Raytraced lighting and reflections.
- Cloud saving and modification.
What Steam players say

"Shrieking Darkness" is a low key asset flip, a bunch of other people's assets assembled badly to make a basic game, typically this kind of thing is done by amateur developers without sufficient budget, talent and/or staff to do the job of game development professionally. It's then quickly rushed into Steam Direct. And, unsurprisingly, this never results in a product with any quality, interest, or value for gamers. This is yet another badly made asset flipped kitbashed first person horror adventure... yawn. This is considered one of the worst on Steam by reviewers, but I have seen much worse. The developer apparently had a tantrum and pulled it from Steam and is trying to sell this for money elsewhere... trying to get YOUR money for someone else's game assets. Never okay. Taking this seriously as a game, it's a plodding, incomplete, unpolished bug riddled mess where you explore a spooky house. Can't get any less original than that! So, the game might look better than you'd expect from an amateur project, but this is because it's partially or completely made up of stock assets, "borrowed" from asset stores and free asset websites. Very little in this game is truly the crea…1 found this helpful

Poorly Optimised And Still Looks Wank. Crashes Constantly, Voices Sound Like The Generic AI ♥♥♥♥ And Does Actually Sell Your Data. Now The CCP Knows Where You Hide Your Hentai
The game feels like it was made by an alien who received a brief description of horror. This game is plagued with bugs and technical issues. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kgpay0EYuAE&t=4s
