Shrimp.io is a silly little survivor style game that somehow makes playing as a shrimp feel like a perfectly reasonable idea. I control a tiny shrimp underwater while fish and other creatures keep coming after me, and my main job is to survive while automatically firing my weapons at anything nearby. I collect microplastics from defeated enemies, gain levels and choose between three upgrades as I go. It is a very simple setup, but I like how quickly it gets going because I can start playing without having to learn a huge amount of systems first. The automatic weapons work well for this kind of game because my attention is mostly on movement. I have to keep the shrimp away from the growing groups of enemies while trying to position myself so the weapons can do their job. Different weapons have different firing patterns, so choosing upgrades can change how I deal with the crowds. I like that I am not constantly clicking to attack because it lets me concentrate on avoiding danger and collecting resources.
