Shrimp Escape

Shrimp Escape is an action-packed 2D arcade shooter where you play as a defiant shrimp blasting and slicing your way out of a hostile ocean. After a daring escape from a fishing vessel, you must weaponize the sea: stun predators with a high-velocity pistol shrimp gun, chop them into food with a molted mantis claw, and cash in their scales to survive the deep. Hand-drawn with striking comic-book styling, it’s a reflex-driven battle to escape the food chain!

Game Modes

Story Mode: The Journey Home

Progress through a series of handcrafted, linear underwater levels detailing the shrimp’s dangerous journey back to freedom.

• Meet the Locals: Encounter unique undersea NPCs, like trapped crabs needing rescue or a rogue mantis shrimp who gifts you a razor-sharp spear claw.
• Epic Boss Battles: Adapt your skills to take down massive ocean predators, including a terrifying Angler Fish deep in the abyss.
• Permanent Progression: Collect fish scales across your journey to unlock powerful upgrades that will help you from level to level.

Survival Mode: Endless Arena Score Attack

Test your absolute limits in a chaotic, closed-arena gauntlet against escalating waves of marine predators.

• The Ultimate Loop: Shoot to stun, slice to cook! Slicing enemy fish turns them into cooked food items that fall to the ocean floor.
• Meet Your Pit Crew: Find Enrique the Crab scuttling along the bottom to eat your cooked food and blow powerful prize bubbles (granting shields, speed boosts, and extra lives).
• Robert’s Mid-Run Shop: Trade collected fish scales to Robert the Hermit Crab for rapid-fire weapon upgrades and temporary boosts that will help you in this mode. 
• Rule the Leaderboards: Fight for survival, build massive point multipliers, and claim your spot on the global Steam Leaderboard.
