Silent Hunter 5®: Battle of the Atlantic

Broken and unplayable unless you are willing to mod it. Only get it on some kind of mega sale (It's $2.50 right now) and use The Wolves of Steel mod.

I just want to play the game and enjoy the title as I have for every game in the series for more than a decade. Instead I have to sign up for membership to UBI. I thought my steam account would be enough. The seller should give an option to bypass ubi and just play the game. Should you open an account with UBI, does not make the purchaser entitled to play the game regardless. Hey Steam, I suggest not selling unplayable games if patches are not available for the players to play the game. I'm not a modder, just a gamer who'd rather spend time playing than finding solutions for unworking games.

If you think about buying this game in order to get into submarine simulators, then I will give you simple anwser: don't. It's totally not worth it; instead go and buy Silent Hunter 3 or 4 (choose U-Boat Missions since it's patched up version with the DLC). I'm saying all the negative things about the game as someone who played it as a kid back when it was released in 2010 and it introduced me to SH series. Back then, the game was already bugged to such a degree that I never got past 1939 campaign. Years later I bought the Steam version on sale hoping that perhaps Ubisoft fixed it. I was wrong; Ubi completly abandoned the project and it's still full of bugs that make game unplayable. Somtimes it's a miracle if game will even open on Steam as sometimes it tends to not work for unknown reason. Buy it only if you are the fan of the series and even if you do then install The Wolfs of Steel mod. It eliminates most of bugs and makes this game playable.

AWESOME!!!!!!

TWOS mod required, makes the game godly with bugs that have workarounds if you have the slightest amount of problem solving skill

You a german U-boat commander... whats not to like
