Players are divided on this game, with some enjoying it as a fun couch co-op experience, particularly praising the kicking mechanics and potential for multiplayer fun. However, many criticize the floaty controls, sluggish and chaotic combat, excessive screen clutter from thrown objects, limited character variety at the start, and frustrating ability-gated areas that discourage exploration. The game seems better suited for those seeking depth through upgrades and story rather than casual party gaming, and some players struggle with the overall design choices like moon jumping and art style.
Personally wasn't a fan. Movement is extremely floaty and inputs feel delayed. Kicking is fun, but combat is a bit shallow and too chaotic at times to really tell whats going on. You only unlock two characters at the start, so when I played local co-op with my friends, we had to pick duplicate characters instead of each having something unique to play. Also, certain areas are locked unless you have a specific character and we ran into a LOT of these roadblocks, which really soured any desire to explore. I thought this would make a neat little party game but it seems to have a certain level of depth that make it a poor choice for silly fun (currency, various shops, buying upgrades, numerous sidequests, heavy story elements, etc).5 found this helpful
The combat is horribly slow and sluggish. A huge part of it revolves around picking junk up and throwing it at your enemies, which is not fun and clutters the screen. The moon jumping is terrible. And honestly the art style is just a huge miss.2 found this helpful
Combat is horrible. Not for me,1 found this helpful
Great coop game. Wish there were DLC's or new levels introduced, since replaying same levels with new characters is not for everyone. It still has a lot of potential.
this game is really fun especially if you looking to game with friends.
the game is fun and great with some challenge. However the Hooded Carrion bug needs to be fixed as it can't take damaged since the head won't regrow
