More lovely dragons, decent storytelling. 7/10.

Slobbish Dragon Princess 2, developed by Whirlpool and published by Sekai Project, continues the offbeat romantic comedy established in its predecessor, blending slice-of-life humor with light fantasy elements in a visual novel format. The sequel once again follows Takeru, an ordinary young man whose life remains anything but ordinary thanks to his ongoing entanglement with dragon royalty. While the original introduced the premise of dragons descending into modern human life with surprisingly casual attitudes, this installment expands the world slightly while maintaining its relaxed, comedic tone. The story picks up with familiar characters settling into a semblance of normalcy—at least by dragon standards—before new complications arise. The arrival of Iris, the Sea Dragon Queen, injects fresh energy into the narrative. Her proclamation regarding dominion over the oceans and her clash of ideals with other dragon factions serve as the loose backbone of the plot. However, despite this fantastical political tension, the game never veers into heavy drama. Thankfully, the attempts at humor are much less grating than they were in the first game. In fact, there's a lot less comedy, and it's more of a slice of life and relaxed vibes straightforward romance. The new characters breathe a lot of life into the story. Sango easily stands side by side with Suzuka as a new favorite.
