Smoots Golf - First Training

What is wrong with people? So many negative review? Why? It's a golf game. You can't use the mouse but you can aim with the arrow keys and swing with the spacebar. Or use a controller. No reason to complain on the options. It does seem to be targeted towards children given the art style, but it plays just fine. Try it, if you like straight forward gold games. The course layout is fairly standard. Par 3-4. Getting PAR is not too difficult. But seriously all you peeps negative reviews, that speaks more of your depressive point of view than it does on the quality of the game.

"Smoots Golf - First Training" is is not a game. It's an advertisement for a product called "Smoots Golf". Smoots Golf is a garbage free mobile app that the developer has dumped on Steam in a deliberate attempt to defraud and scam gamers into paying money for a free game. That's beyond toxic, it's cancer. But this isn't completely relevant because this is not Smoots Golf, it's just an advertisment for it, so it's not correct to try to review that completely distinct product. We must instead review this for what it is... an advertisement. If you enjoy advertisements, you can consume them for free on the web or on Youtube without needing to add them to your game library, download them, and then launch the advertising. It's impossible in a general sense to recommend people should do that over playing real, full games on Steam, and that applies here with "Smoots Golf - First Training" too. The purpose of this advertisement is to get you to shell out a whopping $10 USD on buying Smoots Golf, and I don't recommend you do that either, because it's free on Google Play and the developer is just trying to scam PC gamers. Ten bucks for a free mobile app. Who does he think we are?…

This game apparently is made for a console(?) thingy. So if you're hoping to use your mouse, forget it. You can use the keyboard, BUT, there's no explanation of what keys you should use. You just have to poke a key and hope it does something, and there doesn't seem to be a way to change clubs with the keyboard. EXPLANATIONS from the developer would be helpful. I was really hoping to be able to enjoy this game, but not with it not geared for a COMPUTER, only stuff like Atari or Commodore (or whatever people use now). Yes, OBVIOUSLY I'm an older gamer. I don't do the "newest and greatest." I'm old school, and I like it that way. So, if the developers ever decide to make the game more playable for people using a COMPUTER, great, but otherwise, I'm uninstalling the game; especially since it shows that there are other areas to play, but they're all locked and there's no explanation on HOW to unlock them! Not a good game if you don't have the "right" tools to play, nor if you're not someone who plays golf. I was just hoping for a CASUAL game of minigolf, but the minigolf is locked. You can only play the tournament. NOT fun.

That's a demo, not a F2P. Nothing really interesting. Basic gameplay, basic sound, basic graphic. But fast install and uninstall...

I can see this game getting very repetitive very quickly but it has a fun factor at least. I'd probably play this for a few holes or a tourney and then come off for something a bit more challenging.
