Sokoboxes Duo

Sokoban has been done to near death but this manages to make it fresh and fun again by turning it into a couch co-op game. By having two players (who can move simultaneously) it's possible to retrieve boxes that would otherwise be trapped in a corner/dead end. Indeed, every level I've played requires frequent use of this mechanic, "trapping" one player behind a box so that it can later on be moved out of the spot it's stored. I like to play video games with my logic-minded 10 year old and this game gives us a genuine chance to collaborate on solving the puzzles, not just taking turns, but one person taking WASD and the other the arrow keys. Other modes of input are supported as well, including full touch screen support(!) and gamepads, but for collaborative play the keyboard seems best. It is possible to play solo of course, (and there's even an option to toggle which character you move rather than switching buttons) but that's not really the point of this game, at least for me. While the presentation is kind of basic and retro looking, it has all the important quality of life features, such as full undo back to the level start, muting the overly repetitive music, etc., etc. An…

Sokoboxes Duo is a delightful puzzle-solving experience , you have the option to control two characters either by yourself or with a friend , the larg collection of levels is something that can keep you playing it for a while , whether you're a fan of sokoban or enjoy puzzle games this is a great journey for you. The controls are easy to learn and the sound effects are a nice add-on to the experience , there also a step counter to see whats the minimum required move to win a level and its a good way to add a leader-board in the future. i recommend trying out Sokoboxes Duo .. 8/10
