About Soter
A huge meteor struck and destroyed all life on the planet with exception of a few humans who survived in a bunker. They won't last long as things are now and what's worse, that meteor was just the first of many that are on the way. You must keep the tectonic, atmospheric, biological, and climate systems all within the realm of a humans ability to survive it.
There are no cards to pull, no magic to use. There are no power points to collect. As Soter, you have full control over the yourself (the planet) at all times.
Avoid an ice age or global warming by balancing the pollution levels. Feed the people by creating fish. Keep the plant growth in check by crabs and turtles and cleanse the ocean with clams and starfish. Or maybe evolve some creatures onto land, and promote the growth of trees. Do everything you can to grow the population.

This is NOT SimEarth at all. This is a simplistic (once you understand the mechanics) point and click. Extremely disappointing. Do not buy. The SimEarth mention in the description is deliberately misleading.17 found this helpful
Seems like a good idea... simulate a planet, keep it alive... EXCEPT. Every piece of info is tied to a wiki page... a wiki page that has been taken down and cannot be accessed. You are given a game with 0 instructions on what to do, there is no in-game tutorial or even hints. Any hints or instructions redirect to the wiki page, which is taken down.8 found this helpful
I like the idea. I don't want to vote this down but. This game is way to short 25 days is just way to short. If the game would let you play as long as you wanted then it would be a better game all around. The website is down so. I'm sure this is a dead game. Buy the game as-is. I would be at the point to say DON'T BUY unless the dev comes back.5 found this helpful
I like the idea of this game, and I don't completely hate it, but I wasnt happy with how the game doesnt launch full screen and instead opens in the smallest game window possible, then "full screen" isnt an option on the main screen, oh no, you have to start a game first and then full screen is an option... but it doesnt save it. Next time you launch the game it opens windowed again. The gameplay was fun, but only 25 cycles per game makes for a really short game. Requested a refund, but I might check back in on this game later and see if it's been updated or expanded.5 found this helpful

I found this game while researching a long-time favorite game of mine, SimEarth. It's fun to see it's inspiration. That said, I'm still learning this game. It has a pretty steep curve. But I think this deserves more positive attention for its creativity and ideas.
