Space Revenge - Prologue

Kinda MEH. It does remind me of classic arcade and old games like this (another review mentions Alien Breed, I was thinking Gauntlet, Commando, Escape from the Planet of the Robot Monsters) but it's only OK. Built for controller, although keyboard and mouse did work. Didn't see a way to re-map keys ingame and I was too darn lazy to go looking for config files to modify. Graphics are OK, obviously a Unity game. Sound is OK, nothing special. worked in win7 so there is that, if you're out of date. If you like this kind of thing, go for it. But for the cost I might skip it unless very inexpensive.

"Space Revenge - Prologue" is is not a game. It's an advertisement for a product called "Space Revenge". Space Revenge is a very mediocre top down shooter (think Alien Breed but with furries) made by furries for furries, and what do you know, it was a complete and utter failure on Steam, mostly due to zero inspiration, relying on "It's got furries!" to trump any other important aspecs of a game, like, having a reason for people to want to play it. But this isn't completely relevant because this is not Space Revenge, it's just an advertisment for it, so it's not correct to try to review that completely distinct product. We must instead review this for what it is... an advertisement. If you enjoy advertisements, you can consume them for free on the web or on Youtube without needing to add them to your game library, download them, and then launch the advertising. It's impossible in a general sense to recommend people should do that over playing real, full games on Steam, and that applies here with "Space Revenge - Prologue" too. The purpose of this advertisement is to get you to shell out a whopping $4 USD on buying Space Revenge, and I don't recommend you do that either. Now…

I had some fun the first two stages but on the third stage I never actually completed it as it felt i was dragging through the exact same loop of the last two stages. The enemy variation was pretty cool and i liked the diverse ammo types not all i tried but to me the guns felt all the same to be fair i only used the main 3 round burst and the plasma gun. Overall i good little game to spend some time on but cant definitely say i wont be purchasing the full game.
