Nearly 22hrs of gameplay over 9 years and haven't even made it halfway through the fourth level. Game is too hard and the brain is fried. 10/101 found this helpful
This is a very complex, very rewarding game with a lot of content. I genuinely believe that solving the puzzles in SpaceChem can enhance the way you approach problems in real life. My only qualm is that the controls are pretty bad. Not only are they awkward, but even simple things like mouse sensitivity cannot be changed in the options. Even though the game is available on GeForce Now (nice!), it can't be played there because the mouse sensitivity is so weird. The controls can be fixed with Steam Deck/Controller + Steam Input, especially using the virtual menu feature, but that is not a merit to the game itself.1 found this helpful
I played this as a demo donkey's years ago, and I gave the full game a blat. I enjoyed to a certain point, then moved on. I keep meaning to get back to it, but just never have
Such a clever and innovative game. I wish I came up with something as cool as this. Even though it's over 15 years old it's still great (and that's actually a plus since this can run on pratically any device). Not many programming games (or puzzle games) actually feel like their testing my actual logic/critical thinking skills but this does.
This game is actually really difficult and takes a lot of your brain. If you aren't willing to spend 6 hours beating a level then don't buy this game
Supremely challenging and addictive.
