My favorite Zachtronics game, I find it to be that solving the puzzles is the first part of the game, and then the 'endgame' is to go back and optimize the hell out of one of the three metrics, minimizing parts used and footprint was most fun to me, optimizing cycle time is perhaps the most impressive, but on a few stages I got high scores on least parts used and also got 90th percentile + cycle times, feels good. That tickling of the engineering part of your brain is to the max in a very intuitive and pleasing 3D format for people that think spatially. Much more of a puzzle game than a factory game, despite the name. A puzzle game in the format of a factory automation builder. Kind of a decent backdrop story and setting too, but nothing too deep, very cozy and satisfying experience.1 found this helpful
I can confidently say this is the best 3D puzzle game I've played up to this point. It's got great levels with amazingly polished mechanics that turn out highly satisfying on completion (don't forget to record the cooler solutions with the built in gif generator). The levels from the bonus campaign were especially great. Even its small irrelevant story was charming. I did however have a few nitpicks:

a lot of the game is trial and error trying to find the right timing of your contraptions, which can get annoying at times and it makes your solutions feel slightly unstable
refactoring a solution can be very time consuming because building in a 3D environment naturally takes longer
while the general difficulty progression is good, I felt like it had a few too many repetitive levels in the early section
1 found this helpful
an absolutely amazing automation game, the last levels are crazy headaches but it's so much worth your time
Great puzzle game. easy to understand and levels get hard fast.
A couple hours in and im losing my mind over one of the levels but its been really fun! The puzzles are difficult but intuitive and are vague enough to be open ended but clear enough to not be completely abstract. Currently trying to figure out how to Minecraft redstone my way into using a sensor to trigger a pusher to trigger another pusher into pushing my giant welded brick into the goal box. It's 100% not the intended solution (given that it's only the 2nd (3rd if you count the tutorial) world and there's no downward pushers which would make things so much easier) but I've already built the rest of the solution and it mostly works so i'm just being stubborn. Anyway, I'll update this once i complete the game (hopefully).
fun, hard, and absorbing. Puzzles are nutz, and the story is surprisingly good.
