About Spaceforce Homeworld

Spaceforce Homeworld, missile hell of epic proportions, with PowerUps and Reinforcement Calls will bring back the nostalgia of classic retro arcade shooter games.

For hundreds of years humans have searched for an answer to the eternal question: Are we alone in the universe?
Get armed, kill the enemy. Follow the story as you explore the levels and call for help. If you keep improving, your 3 types of tanks or Valkyrie and Fighter spaceships can keep you a step ahead of the enemy. Can you save the capital cities of earth? Defeat is not an option, humanity could be annihilated!
Spaceforce HOMEWORLD is a game in which the player combats a large number of alien forces, by shooting at them while dodging their fire. Both on land and in space it is a classic struggle filled with droves of aliens and weapon power-ups.
Get your plasma gun, rocket or laser firing because the aliens are invading!
Battle through 50+ levels facing continuous swarms of allied alien vessels that randomly change shape and size, attack pattern and weapon type. Pick up valuable power-ups including weapon upgrades that can turn your tank or spaceship into a lethal machine! Bravery is a necessity, in order to accomplish your mission sometimes, you will nearly sacrifice yourself.
Tank and spaceship mines and missiles will also be a welcome addition to your arsenal. It will help take out hostile alien clusters. There are three different tanks in the game, each of them can be upgraded by collecting power-ups. The two spaceships: Valkyrie and Fighter, will help your mission to annihilate the alien motherships responsible for destroying earth's capital cities!

total ♥♥♥♥♥.. (c) 2005 and it shows it, first time i ran it it crashed (not a good start), failed to go full screen, then i disabled the gfx effects, loaded then... didnt make it any better at all... its a cheap and nasty kind of invaders style game, which then sometimes goes top down shoot em up style (badly)... honestly.. dont bother

After seeing this games screenshots and video I pretty much knew what to expect, it has elements from two arcade games from the past. Put in a couple of movement tweaks, and a multitude of power ups and you have Spaceforce. It delivers what an average game of its type normally does and I enjoyed it. it starts a bit slow but picks up pace after you beat the first few levels. It begins to get more challenging, at the same time more power ups appear and stack up to your advantage soon enough I realized it was (although slightly different to control) an enjoyable replacement for those old arcade games. 6.5 out of 10 worth a big mac at least, probably more if you really enjoy this genre. I do not generally play this type of game.

You get whay you pay for... and I got this game for free. The gameplay is a lot worse than it shows off. Now I lot my retro games, I must have spent at least a good $20 every Saturday morning at the local arcade(which was in a bowling alley) so I knew what this game was going to be like. Heck I still have the original luna lander and that game is better than this. I won't review the graphics or audio because they are both exactly what they show off... pseudo-80's/90's semi-realistic photos that move. No issue with that. The issue is the fire button is permanently locked to Left-hand mouse and the shields(missiles) to the Right hand button, yet the movement is keyboard based... what the?!!! And if you press 'ESC' to check the controls or something of the menu... YOU QUIT YOUR GAME!!!! You cannot resume or anything. You'd think they'd give a warning like "Do you really want to quit?" but nooooo. Not worth $5 USD. Maybe $1... if it was better by... I don't know... being able to re-assign the keys! I'm going back to Luna Lander now or maybe some Sopwith Camel. Either is better than this. P.s. How does this game take up almost 200mbs?!!! Have people just given up on compression?!…

Primitive resolutions. Sluggish controls. Innefectual weapons. Play Bug Butcher instead. http://store.steampowered.com/app/350740/The_Bug_Butcher/ This is a primitive browser style game in which you shoot at saucers from a jeep, going left or right and spamming the click button. Then transition into a vertical SHMUP with sluggish controls and innefectual weapons. You'd have better luck just trying to dodge and wait the timer out. It looks jpged. The gameplay is not engaging. Resolution options are primitive.
