It could be a great game if it had "alpha preview" in its description. Visual style - 9/10 Game concept - 9/10 Balance - 2/10 Mechanics diversity and cards diversity and gameplay diversity - 1/106 found this helpful
Please don't be fooled by the mixed review score, this game is awesome, and a lot of the problems it had on release (a friend of mine was lucky enough to play it on release, I was not so lucky) seem to have been addressed so far. The art is charming, the game-play loop is neat and there is clear effort put into every piece of this game. If auto battlers aren't for you, this may not be your kind of game, but I promise there's a lot to love about this game even despite that. Even the musical score, as simple as it has, captures the charm of the experience throughout, along with the artwork and the gameplay this game is the full package! I really recommend giving Spellcats a go!3 found this helpful

I really want to like this game, but maybe I was expecting something different when I got it. I'll wait to play when there are more synergies between cards and most of the bugs solved. (I got multiple achievements that I shouldn't have, plus errors in gameplay that make it quite unfair and boring) One bug that I thought funny but ended up in me being ultra-powered was what the game expected to be an end of turn and it got stuck for a couple of minutes in a loop, granting my cats lots of attack. It ended up occurring with the enemies as well, giving them unlimited hp when there wasn't any bonus effect to be granted to them, ending up in an unfair loss. Maybe at my 7th run I could tell that cards can be upgraded in some events, but only crossed with that once and I can't really say if there's a benefit to an upgraded card. I thought the cards should combine during the match, but apparently the way to do it is continuously get and sacrifice cats giving more hp or attack or take advantage of some bonus. Every time I went with a water card deck I didn't have to even look at the cards and that strategy always won, continuously sacrificing a 1 mana cat and getting another one until I …1 found this helpful
A good 5 hour experience that goes on sale for 3$. There's some really busted builds you can get in this that're really fun.
i really enjoyed the game was super fun. there are a few bugs and some thing i wish the game would add as it could be so much better 1.change up the cards so your not locked into 1 element for a run 2. let me use abilitys with other card to mix things up only using water to heal fire for damage ice for shield and water for health and finally rock with spikes. 3. the trinkets can sometime be not even worth getting as they have no affect on the run your doing at all and alot of the trinkets work for only 1 thing so most of the time you get nothing. again i have alot of fun playing the game and i completed it fully.
