Spooky Mahjong

Spooky Mahjong is a basic mobile-app like mahjong tile matching/solitaire game. Solve various puzzle levels made of stacked mahjong tiles, removing tiles by clicking on matching pairs. It's been done a million times before, for free, and free on mobile app stores too... yet this one has a hefty price tag on it. Who knew you can just charge $5 for mobile trash? I guess Creobit/8Floor does. Worth noting, once more, the developer has stolen a bunch of pictures from the internet to use for the background for this asset flip. There's no end to the intellectual and moral dishonesty of these Russian asset flippers. The developer, Creobit/8Floor, has copy + pasted this game TWENTY FOUR TIMES onto Steam with minor reskins... why cash in on one asset if you can cash in on multiple copies of the same game? TL;DR: Worth it for the theme on sale at .49 cents USD, but there are a few issues and you may have to wait for a beatable layout at times. Good thing you can restart the level. This title could really be something with some TLC. Yes, the music abruptly stops. And never comes back on for some reason. Yes, the boards are sometimes impossible like every other mahjong title out there. But when it works, it works quite well. There are stars awarded here for finding golden tiles, just like finding golden cards in the dev's solitaire games. You need a certain amount of stars to progress to the next set of layouts, but thankfully these carry over between sets and you can rack them up early if you're lucky. Though you will still have to play through a set, say Ireland, completely before England unlocks. Still, it's a nice feature I wish their solitaire games had. But the mechanics can be a bit frustrating as sometimes the generated layout can't be beaten in a certain amount of moves or time. Still, it boasts themed tiles and layout tied to the season or location. There's also the odd need to click the down arrow then an arrow to go back if in a tile layout that honestly confused me …

Spooky/Halloween-themed mahjong game. Decent enough. Might require a little skill.
