About Star Knightess Aura

Summary

Follow Aura's adventure as she is thrust into the fantasy world of Roya. What she initially believed to follow the conventional plotline of a "summoned to another world"-story quickly turns into her worst nightmare. Cursed by the Demon King, Aura must now struggle every night to track down her nemesis and ultimately strike him down.
But her enemies don't just lurk in Roya. Having entered her mind through the Demon King's curse, another enemy attempts to brainwash and corrupt Aura from the inside. Faced with a two-pronged attack against her body and mind, can Aura finish off her worst enemy without losing herself?

Gameplay

Each ingame day is structured into 3 parts.
  • The player controls Aura and can explore the world of Roya to track down and kill the Demon King. In order to become stronger, acquire funds, and advance her search, she can rely on her own powers or ask people for help. However, not everybody means well with Aura. Performing lewd acts and compromising on Aura's ideals by allowing innocents to suffer causes Aura to gain corruption.
  • The player controls Alicia, who uses Aura's corruption to change her psyche. This includes changing her interests, increasing her interest in fashion, changing her appearance (including hair style/color changes), changing her values (making Aura more selfish), and ultimately changing her sexual desire and love interests.
  • The player watches cutscenes displaying Aura's real self changing over time due to mental corruption. The cutscenes are told from varying character perspectives (Aura, her best friend Rose, her boyfriend George, and so on).

Key Features

  • Strategic Combat with limited resources - All resources, including time, money, and items, must be used with care to get the most out of them in Aura's journey!
  • Semi-Open World - Explore the vast world of Roya! Hunt for rare materials to infuse into Aura's armor, slay demons, and help our heroine rise from zero in an unfair world!
  • Challenging and creative boss fights - Battles are set up as puzzles that test your understanding of the combat system. Exploit hidden weaknesses, disable environmental effects, and teach Aura skills that allow her to counter whatever her enemies throw at her. Most encounters may seem impossible at first, but a solution will always reveal itself to those who don't give up thinking!
  • Balance corruption and progress - Give in to temptation to make your life easier, and it might cause the curse to progress to the point where Aura's personality changes towards evil... However, clinging too firmly to your ideals can slow down your progress, and Aura might become a victim of the curse nonetheless. Balance is key!
  • Collar Removal - In exchange for damaging her soul and gaining corruption, Aura can forcefully overcome her curse and temporarily regain her powers as a Hero - Smash any encounter and obstacle to pieces! However, using this power accelerates the curse...
  • 5 Difficulty Modes - Don't like the time pressure from the ever-advancing curse? Reducing the difficulty to one of the lower difficulties allows you to take it easy or enjoy the story. Or ramp the difficulty up all the way to Nightmare to get the full masochistic experience of a cursed heroine (Only recommended for veteran gamers).

✦ AI summary

Players appreciate the challenging combat and interesting mechanics that reward experimentation and strategy, along with engaging exploration and storytelling. However, the game suffers from uneven difficulty that can feel unfair even on easy settings, poor explanation of game systems, excessive length that makes replaying tedious, and an inconsistent narrative where antagonists receive overly sympathetic endings. Most agree the game has potential but feels ambitious in ways that undermine its own appeal.

This game is well designed and the character development is compelling.

I loved this game I've tried a few games with sexual content before, but they never really worked for me. Usually the sexual content feels like the main point, with the game and story mostly existing as a delivery system for it. Those types of games do not appeal to me personally. Star Knightess Aura is different. This is a genuinely good RPG with interesting systems, strong writing, and memorable character progression. The adult content is integrated into the corruption, sacrifice, and consequence-driven structure of the game, while still being mostly optional. What impressed me the most was how many meaningful trade-offs the game gives you. You are constantly managing limited resources, timers, corruption, brainwashing, favours, humiliation, and moral compromise. The brainwashing system in particular felt very unique to me, and I loved how it tied into both the mechanics and the story. The game is also much more challenging than I expected. I played on normal difficulty and finished on day 258, fairly close to complete corruption. That pressure made the experience much stronger, because every compromise felt tempting for practical reasons, not just narrative ones. The wr…

(Don't mind the playtime, I moved onto the Patreon version quite early on) There are many corruption game (and by corruption here I mean "Falling to Evil") and stories on Steam, eroge and non-eroge. But few really can make you feel like you are playing from the perspective of a character who is being corrupted, who has to fight hard to win before they are changed, yet who also has to compromise and give in to corruption at times. But Star Knightess Aura fulfills that fantasy perfectly. There are several reasons for it... For one, the game is not easy - it's a narratively-driven JRPG made in RPG Maker. But unlike most games you expect here, it's challenging. You can't grind your levels, every piece of gold matters, all enemies have gimmicks and weaknesses that you must learn. Hoarding potions "in case I need it later" won't even come to your mind because you will be spending those badboys. SKA even slightly ruined RPGs for me because this is the first time I had to make use of absolutely every RPG mechanic there is. And I love it. It really makes you feel like a proper adventurer! And if you are like me and hate losing intentionally to see the corruption side of the story, you wi…

it has a few smaller flaws overall its fun typical turn based game "RPG" game The mechanics are quite forward there is a (good ingame help) which explains the buffs and mechanics very well. It got some story "twists" but the NPCs re rather silly. The "Boss" or "Miniboss" fights are rather tough even at normal since you only die for real when u got a party this is not a bigger problem. Graphics 7 Sound: 6 Gameplay: 7 Story: 7 stability: 9 (no crashes so far) Overall fun factor: 8 so for me its not the "best" game out there but its a solid game thats actually funny and it never "crashed" for me. You can get it if you into "light RPGs" with a L e w d Site on them.
