About Starground
WHAT IS STARGROUND?
Starground is a top-down automation dungeon crawler combo. Alternate between gathering and refining resources on your home planet, and venturing across space to fight through action roguelite-inspired dungeons. How you split your time is entirely up to you! There's no right way to play the game, and any path will progress the story.MULTIPLAYER
Starground was built up with multiplayer from the beginning. Experience what Starground has to offer as a full co-operative experience with as many friends as you'd like. Invite your friends to work towards common goals, or divide and conquer each part of the game. If multiplayer isn't your thing though, you can play alone in single player too!AUTOMATION
Develop and maximize an island of resources through automation. Work your way through a research tree filled with all sorts of unique machines and solutions to your logistical needs. Start humble by mining resources by hand and smelting manually, but soon build up to a formidable factory that can tackle anything you can throw at it.DUNGEONS
If you're not into automation, or need to wait for your factory, then venture to other places in the solar system to explore and crawl your way through a variety of dungeons. Battle enemies, avoid obstacles, kill bosses, and reap the rewards of your effort. Take resources from dungeons back to your factory, or use rare loot to make yourself stronger and craft modular weapons. Make a spear, dual-bladed sword, or maybe a gun on a stick. The choice is yours. Be sure to add Starground to your Wishlist! What Steam players say

amazing game - automation with a side of dungeon crawler probably wouldn't buy it for 11 pounds as there are better options at that point?? but for around a fiver its an amazing deal to keep you occupied for over 10 hours, with lots of content, and decoration. Graphics are satisfying and smooth, gameplay has a nice learning curve, and doesn't ever seem to come to a grindy stop, and dungeons feel fresh each time as they are always randomised - and music is calming.3 found this helpful
Infinite no-risk resources. I can't ever recommend a factory game without either finite resources, or enemy scaling. It makes it not a factory game, but an idle clicker. Idle clickers are, and always have been, absolute garbage.2 found this helpful
Unfortunately, can't currently recommend it. Pros: The movement and fighting mechanics feel great. As for the rest: the game needs more game. beatable in 5 hours. There are only 3 dungeons. Only the first has two floors. The other ones are single floor only. I killed the final boss about 10 times. The last 8 times in less than a second. The automation is kind of useless. You can only really craft the basic sword and everything else has to be found in the dungeons. The hub world feels anaemic. The shopkeepers sell mostly useless items and the quests they offer are fetch quests only. The only things worth buying: pistol barrel, bullet weapon, cheese and fishing rod (if you're into that) The only fetch quests worth doing are: deliver water (wow), and deliver metals. Not worth the current asking price.1 found this helpful
Fun Addictive. just a great game. reminds me that simple mechanics can be used in complicated ways. I think both casual and hardcore players can enjoy it.1 found this helpful

Early review. At this stage I would rather do not recommend. A few points 1. Ugly graphics, well is it subjective. But in 2026 it makes sense to do pixel graphics in 2D only if it is really nice. Just do pixel and dare that it will give +100 to appearence - naive 2. lack of info -I can switch tools by pressing Q - WTH - give me hint, I mean UI hint - what this second tool is doing 3. overall balance is "noisy", lots of redundant visual and gameplay noise. I would say - lack of style. I am always for +1 builder/automation game, at the end we have less than 10 playable. But this one is not playable (yet). Not asking for refund, let's see where is will go, overall base looks promising1 found this helpful
