A really promising new game from a young developer. Captures the machinations of machine politics without overcomplicating the game with 1 million sub systems. UI needs a lot of work but he updates regularly and is always eager to take notes. Real politics game fans need this on their steam list.4 found this helpful
For a developer's first published steam game I have to say that this is a seriously impressive little work of art. I think that the mechanics are very easy to grasp and would take someone less than 15 minutes to do so, so there is no doubt that the game isn't hard to learn. Really, the difficulty comes from mastering your tactics to get your party to lead the nation. The developer is clearly currently limited in funds and how much work he can put into this game, but if it garners enough support it has serious potential to be up there with games like Tropico and Suzerain. The developer clearly cares about his community and is pushing regular updates. Is the game enjoyable? Certainly. Is it a one-to-one political sim with absolute realism? No. But it's still enjoyable nonetheless and still one of the more realistic sims out there. Not to mention a nice pixelated graphic style. The game is so early in development and if it has more support it seriously can become incredible. I would highly recommend this and I seriously think it has something to it. This game is kind of a UX disaster. "Oh cool they added text resizing option. How nice of them" *now all text is running over the boxes* This really gives off the single dev vibes. One of these days, I'll muster up fortitude to reset my settings and actually play the game. I'll update the review based on gameplay then. On paper it sounds very promising, but the execution is a bit lackluster.2 found this helpful
Political Sim/ Grand Strategy - not at all. As simple as 90xx + bags
i wouldn't call this a 'political sim' in the vein of Democracy or Suzerein, its much more like a very simple boardgame all political parties play identically, it's just very mechanically simplistic and the political element is a thin veneer of flavor text
