About Stellar Settlers: Space Base Builder
Stellar Settlers is a chill space base/city builder and colony simulation game set in the depths of uncharted space. As you embark on a cosmic adventure, take control of a space settlement and build your thriving colony on alien planets with different challenging and hostile environments that want to destroy your colony.
Every new planet is different, procedurally generated environment, ores, special events, new settlers, building pods and stories. Adapt your play style to mine and collect as much materials you can. When you are stable enough, start designing and building a physics-based spaceship (similar to Kerbal Space Program) to escape the planet when environment conditions get too harsh. Progress through different planets and visit them all.

I care a lot about worldbuilding in games, and to be honest, I cannot take the game seriously when the first screen shows dozens of AI-generated character portraits and landscapes. That AI-generated stuff made me lose 100% of my interest in the game. If they don't care about the characters and places they created enough to avoid using cheap garbage that shouldn't even serve as placeholders, why would I care?6 found this helpful
The game is listed as having a controller support and there is even a controller layout in settings, but ... I don't know, maybe its me, but playing this game with a controller is the most frustrating thing ever. The layout is so unintuitive it's amazing. Both pads and 2 shoulder buttons control the camera. All together 4 inputs for a camera, but no input to move the cursor - including in menus. Want to close a dialog? Press B. Press it again and it goes to Main menu. Want to build something? Its Y/X, horizontal scrolling and A. Want to remove a building that you build by mistake because pressing A in menu build it immediately, even though it was not shown on screen? Its right pad (the camera rotate) press? Want to click a button in a dialog? Who knows, you cannot control the cursor and pressing any of remaining buttons (Y, B, A, X) either opens a build menu (twice: X or A), closes dialog (B), opens main menu (B again) or either does nothing (A), opens a dialog again (still A) or builds a random building (A yet again). I played this game for about 10 minutes, 7 of which I was trying to figure out controlls or switching in and out of mouse mode. Visually this game looks nice, I gues…1 found this helpful

Unfinished
If you want a city building game where you can't lose and every level becomes the same, then this is your game. It's a slow, ponderous, and dull builder. I could forgive the overly 'chill' nature of the game if it wasn't so buggy and likely to crash when you inevitably minimize the game to play something else while your resources tick up. Most frequent issues: Game crashes Unable to build things that require ground floor, on the ground. Unable to build tunnels at random Connecting building pretend they aren't connected until rotated 360 degrees Icons disappear such as 'settlers sick' or 'building damaged' Loading a saved game just starts a new one, wiping your data If the game worked, it might be worth a few bucks.
Super relaxing, charming little space game! Really easy to learn, impossible to stop playing once you get into it. Huge congrats to the dev team, you all made something really cool!
