Dark Fantasy Action Roguelike Combat
Stillborn Slayer is a dark fantasy action roguelike built around fast, punishing combat and replayable procedural runs. You battle through a grim, hostile world filled with monstrous enemies, relying on skill, timing, and adaptability to survive. Each run presents new challenges, enemy patterns, and opportunities, encouraging mastery through repetition rather than scripted progression.Fast, Brutal, Replayable Gameplay
Combat in Stillborn Slayer is immediate and unforgiving. Encounters are designed to reward aggressive play, quick reactions, and learning enemy behaviors. Good little game that has Enter the Gungeon / Archvale vibes to it. The gameplay is quite similar to Archvale which I like. It's fun to play, though I didn't exactly like the stamina system too much. It felt like I was waiting for it to regenerate more than half of the time in a fight Nice simple inventory system, easy to switch between weapons and armor I also really like the idea of getting a reward for killing the bosses without taking damage. Being able to upgrade weapons and yourself is awesome. :D What I don't like is the extremely fast projectile which feels like it's just a matter of luck dodging them, The Rotten and the final boss had this attack and it just felt a bit cheap to me. Solid game though, definitely needs more levels and bosses etc. Personally I think the cost should be a bit cheaper considering the amount of content, but hey if many more levels are added and a bit more polish, definitely worth it. :D TLDR: Game is pretty fun, looks decent and has some cool ideas, though it's lacking in content for what it's worth right now :P6 found this helpful
I beat the game it was fun, but it locked me in the ending cutscene and not even relaunching the game fixed it so I can't play the game again and I feel like I missed entire areas because I didn't have all the items but I also don't know how I would have missed areas i went everywhere I could.2 found this helpful
Pretty cool roguelike with a gothic vibe The map is not linear, deciding to explore will reward you with additional trinkets and resources for upgrading your weapons and such, although if you are experienced in this genre you might not necessarily need that to win, the game is somewhat easy Short and simple, but worth checking out1 found this helpful
Neat little rougelike bullet hell.. my only gripe is i wish there was some sort of ambient music that played instead of silence outside of boss fights.. but otherwise real fun mechanics and plenty of options for ways to fight! solid fun for sure!1 found this helpful
A bootleg, non-roguelite ETG with character/item upgrades and bonfire-based progress. NO STAMINA. NO STAMINA. NO STAMINA. NO STAMINA. NO STAMINA. NO STAMINA. Seriously, it is annoying as fu©k. Just lower the overall damage and don't bother me with stamina management – especially when it's not used to dodge, so you don't need to carefully balance DPS and safety. Boss fights are fun, but don't go in expecting any groundbreaking or unusual mechanics. Fights with basic mobs just kind of are there and don't matter much. Some menu items don't do anything. Difficulty resets itself to normal constantly. It's very short and not too difficult. I have finished my first playthrough in a little over three hours. Some levels and items were clearly not implemented – there are missing entries in both the fast travel bonfire list and the inventory. Serviceable when bought at a high discount. I have paid EUR 1.50, and that's about acceptable. However, one can't forget there are much better games available for free. 5/10
Good but a bit to hard for my taste
