‘Street Dreams’ is a very short endless runner/action shooter in which you ride in the back of a truck that just so happens to be full of weapons. You get a grenade launcher, a few assault rifles, a shotgun and a handgun. Then you are challenged to take down as many enemies as you can before the song ends. Yes, this is not a game with levels because there is only one endless one, but you play for as long as the song ends. There is no score and only a small selection of mod-options like infinite ammo, a large mini-gun and no damage. There is no score despite having a leaderboard and it costs a whopping £9.29! You would have to be made of money to pay that because I was livid having only paid £6.50! However, I want to say that there is some great potential here. It’s a fun game, only there is so little of it I simply can’t recommend it. Just adding a high score would be a good start! But this game will NEVER be worth the current asking price. If you see this on sale for a quid or less do give it a go, otherwise, you will never get your money’s worth. With time this might be well worth a download, but that time is a long way away.

Street Dreams is exactly what it says on the tin. You start at a interactive PC screen with many different customise-able options and game modes. Including levels (Portrayed as song titles), game modifiers (For example, infinite health, infinite ammo or a mounted mini-gun) and many different applications on the interactive PC for you to have a look through, including Easter-eggs and an endless mode. The great tunes, wide range of customisation through the modifiers and endless mode, give this faced-paced VR game endless hours of replay-ability and fun. Street Dreams also includes a live leader board, Found by looking at the left wrist, like looking at a watch. Personally I love this as it gives the leader board a really immersive feel. However, This could be made more prominent. A message, or some tutorial text would do the job, just to let the player know it's there. This game really does a great job of portraying its intended theme, an action-packed dream world. Reactive lighting, use of simplistic, yet vibrant art work, sound effects, animation and brilliant backing tracks really bring this dream world shooter close to its full potential. Obviously all games have their flaw…

The game is good fun, but can get repetitive quickly. I personally am a big fan of the music choices for the levels, and shots/physics are satisfying. The one gripe with the game is the health/damage system. Currently, there is one of two problems; enemies deal too much damage, or there are not enough health pickups spawning. Normal 2-3 minute levels are fine, but trying to complete the 10 (and God forgive the 20) minute endless runs just seems impossible with the current state of how quickly your health drains. 6.5/10 (Pick it up if it's on sale)

I like this game. It may be simple but all good old school arcade shooters are. And for a game made by a single person, its pretty sweet. I did the retro looking graphics that have a whif of Pistol Whip for inspiration without being a copy. I really dug the loading menu that mimics an old crt computer monitor. Took me right back to my childhood. I look forward to seeing how this title progresses with future updates and/or DLC.

Cannot recommend this game in its current state as it feels lackluster and very basic, the game runs fine and the menu system is a nice touch but ultimately doesn't seem to go anywhere from one level to another it seemed very much so that the same city background was used repeatedly and the game has no definitive substance to it, hopefully in the future it will receive something in terms of new content, enemy types, etc.
