About Sublunar
Sublunar is a Sci-fi, Puzzle, Strategy game, where the goal is to convert
settlements over to your faction, by performing missions and strategic upgrades, while fending off bandits and subsiding revolts.
Performing a successful mission will earn you cash, and experience, and will turn the settlement over to your faction. Each mission consists of a couple of puzzles where you will have to use your wit, your crew, your gear, and your weapons, in order to solve them.
Each settlement holds an upgrade slot, where you can buy and build various upgrades that will help you reach your goal quicker. But be wary, bandits are everywhere and will be a nuisance if you don't do something about them.
Convert the majority of settlements over to your faction, in the best possible time, and you win.
⭐️ Pick up missions and select suitable crew, gear, and weapons for it.
🧩 Solve mission puzzles by using the appropriate crew, gear, and weapons, determined by the mission category proficiency and their level.
🤝 Talk to staff members in order to gather clues about your missions. They might however refuse to talk to you, if your faction doesn't align with theirs.
✊ Revolts are keeping each region in equilibrium. Subsiding revolts are your only option if a revolt occur in your settlement.
🏴☠️ Bandits strike regularly. Keep a well rounded crew at all times in order to fend them off.
💪 Upgrade your settlements in order to achieve various strategic benefits. Each faction have their own unique upgrade.
💊 Power up your crew, gear, and weapons, with level ups, health kits, ammo kits, and repair kits.

The interface makes the text-based [i]Sublunar[/i] more confusing than it needed to be, but once you know your way around it's a pretty average 'risk management' game. In order to complete the level, you have to dominate the region with your faction by completing quests, and as you progress the game will introduce more randomized elements. The tutorial is not very helpful which is part of the problem, I would recommend highlighting the buttons for the player because they are hard to find on your own. Generally speaking, to play the game you have to go to any city, select a quest, and then you have to make sure that your crew meets the stat requirements, including potentially mandatory gear and weapons. Some of the missions have an element of "luck" because you can't see the secondary phase, but you can eliminate it by asking people in towns for information, assuming the city is under your alignment. When you start a mission you will have a choice of a faction, it's not purely cosmetic, it affects the frequency of certain events and items in the store. Sublunar has a couple of issues with the design of the interface when it comes to 'active quests'. I often find myself buying the…15 found this helpful
Game is not ready for release; it should be beta/early access. It is buggy (multiple patch releases per day several days in a row?) Instructions are not very thorough. Layout and navigation is clunky, and would benefit from keyboard input. I played one game, started to get the hang of things, and ran out of money, could not acquire any more missions (not enough funds). Game did not TELL me it was over and I couldn't advance, but that seemed to be the case. So I started a new game, and was immediately blocked by "not enough funds" again because my wallet still had only $29. Started several new games, same problem. The most fun I had was requesting a refund for the game. Needs work.4 found this helpful
