They say there's no second chance for a first impression. Good thing this game made a very good one! Gameplay-wise, there's not much to say. The feel is incredible, especially if you can stay on top of it. While there's only a few bikes to pick from, they control well. The controls are fairly simple and very responsive. Haven't run into bugs or problems, not counting a few occasional framerate hic-ups in the desert template. Visually, the game is definitely not extraordinary, but given that you're zipping at 200+ km/h, it's hardly noticeable. They're doing the job just fine. Stages could use a little more variety though and more consistent environments. I don't mind riding through a city one moment and then passing Moai statues the next one but... it may not be everyone's cup of tea. Sound and especially the music is where the game really shines. I really wish we had more numbers, going to take my opportunity to request it right here, right now. What I particularly like about this game is that it is as serious as YOU take it. Many games trying to recreate the retro arcade feeling are brutal and unforgiving. This game is not. You can actually enjoy the ride without having to suf…

Really fun driving game. The way you have to constantly weigh up whether it is worth using the bike's boost function to reach a checkpoint makes each second on stages really engrossing

There is a massive variety of tracks, the music is absolute fire, leaderboards make this game instantly more replayable, and finally the main character is a waifu simp magnet. I do not for a second regret my purchase and will make content for this game.

It is a lovely successor to the old Super Night Riders. Every detail got some love, presentation got better, graphics are upgraded. Gamplay got an upgrade that I initially hated with the boost button. But turns out, reversing this and using the deactivation as a soft brake to make corners enhances the gameplay as it basically feels like either using some break on your bike or full on braking for emergencies. And in riding that's what you usually do: there is the keep straight and feel the edge of grip kind of breaking and then there's the braking that you use while cornering to stabilize and control. So it adds a good dimension to the gameplay. Not sure if the wheelies out of corners when you lean back make a big difference yet, but it's just awesome that you can do that and control it. That just makes you feel awesome. Might even be a bit of a difference as I think leaning forward (like if you pressure the front tire) helps cornering in high speeds. So - although a simple game, it does offer quite some depth that I like. I also still just groove to the music as it's very upbeat, fun and groovy. The new options for clothing, hairstyles (just sad that there is only one …
Summary
An improved followup to miyu.works' enjoyable Hang-On/Super Hang-On inspired arcade racer.
Who's it for?
Anyone looking for an affordable, simple, classic arcade style game that delivers a decent challenge, and doesn't seek to be more than it is.
Who is it not for?
If you're looking for something deeper, more simulation focused, something entirely novel, can't enjoy the simple replayable repetition of a classic style arcade racer in and of itself and need more than that, or you know you don't enjoy Hang-On-likes, then this is probably not for you.
PROS:

Variety of graphical options ensure performant compatibility and visual customization.
Multiple modes.
Variety of riders and vehicles that feel/handle differently.
Functional online leaderboards.
Variety of difficulty options.
Good sense of challenge/progression through difficulty tiers and modes.
More camera angles/perspectives in this iteration.
Nice HUD customization options for improved visibility.

CONS:

Some HUD scaling settings can lead to cut off menus (restarting the game appears to fix this.)
Some races are incredi…
