✦ AI summary

Players appreciate the core concept and acknowledge the game's ambition as a free title from new developers, but consistently note it's quite short (around 15-20 minutes to completion) with minimal challenge or conflict. Common complaints include a simplistic crafting system, various bugs like resource duplication glitches and a health mechanic that doesn't properly reset, and a general lack of depth in gameplay mechanics, though several reviewers express optimism that updates could expand and improve the experience significantly.

People really are hating on this game and that's crazy. My friend and I beat it in about 20 minutes and it hit all the beats. Was is janky as hell? Yes, but for a game for new developers this was actually quite impressive! And by the way, its FREE. I'd say its worth a swing if you have some time to kill.

Survive On The Moon is a really interesting survival game because it takes the idea of building a base and puts the entire thing on a moving rover. I am stranded on the Moon and cannot simply settle down in one location, so the rover itself becomes my home, workshop and survival platform. I liked this twist immediately because it gives the usual crafting loop a much more interesting physical problem. The modular construction system is probably my favorite mechanic. I can attach living spaces, laboratories and factories directly onto the rover, gradually turning a basic vehicle into a much larger mobile base. I enjoyed the feeling of watching the rover evolve because every new module feels like part of the solution to keeping myself alive. Resource gathering and crafting give the progression its structure. I collect lunar materials and process them into more advanced components, then use those resources to expand the rover and prepare for the long term goal. I liked that the game presents survival as an engineering problem rather than just a collection of hunger and health meters. The constant movement also changes how I approach exploration. I cannot simply build a permanent set…

I like the idea but it's very simple right now. It has a very basic crafting system without choices. I ran out of oxygen once and even though I refilled my tank the health just kept going down with no way to heal me. If the dev continues to add to it, fix the bugs, and expands the crafting tree it could be a fun game.

My brother and I finished the game in like 15 minutes. There was not really a conflict in the game for a challenge. I saw there was an asteroid gun, but there were none. I was also able to glitch the game by spamming the collect resources button after crafting items so it allowed me to get 60 glass for example with a bunch of clicks. Basically add in some type of conflict and fix that glitch with the resources.

Good concept, still needs a lot of work. was able to build the rocket in 15 minutes of gameplay. Not sure if the game glitched and gave me more supplies than it was supposed to. Will update review and play again if updates come
