Symphony of Souls

[h1] Movement in general is good however game is super short, only 2 levels. You can wall run, dash, grapple hook and shoot golden statues. Flow is ok and level design not bad. Actually had fun for 10 minutes. [/h1]

Solid start. Would love to see more platforming challenges and levels.

Small game but with a few cool ideas. I especially liked the "grappling hook" mechanism. I would have played more if there was more. If you're reading this and hesitating: why? It's free, have a try :D

"Symphony of Souls" is a so/so first person platformer from LaSalle College, Vancouver. This low poly platformer has you swinging around like a Greek mythological figure (not known for swinging around) though a short narrative experience. The graphics in this game are passable, but could be better. And while it's vital for any game to have impressive visuals (gaming is a visual medium, after all), there's more to a game than just the graphics. To be worth a gamers time, the game must match top tier visuals with top tier gameplay, and that's not happening here. You're forced to sign a highly questionable yet legally unenforceable End User License Agreement... for such a relatively low effort, low quality product, this comes across more as a delusion of grandeur than anything else. This agreement includes questionable requirements that may attempt to revoke consumer law protections that gamers expect to have, which is also highly problematic. Developers must learn they are here to serve gamers, not control them. I had my cat walk over the keyboard while the EULA was displaying, which fixed that problem for me. Didn't expect this to be a speed run type game.. thought there would be more story besides... adam and eve type beat? not even sure. Its fun just not what I expected or was looking for at the moment. Not a bad game but I think the game should be advertised differently
