With Synthetik we wanted to bring new depth and mechanics to the genre while leaving a lot of freedom for experimentation and different playstyles. It is inspired by the late 90’s Era of games when people put in all the Features they enjoyed without streamlining to the bare minimum.

1985. After many years of slavery, the AI servants of Kaida Corporation, the world leader in robotics, have formed the "Machine Legion" and have set out to destroy humanity. Awakening in Kaida Corp. 我不明白为什么要把arena和legion rising分开，官方没有解释好这两者的区别，因为这个游戏很小众，我是在查阅了各大社交媒体后才明白的；更不理解（也更可气）的是我花了三十块钱人民币买了arena的dlc，竟然真的只解锁了几把枪和一个hard mode，而这个hard mode也仅仅支持试玩，你但凡把这个dlc塞进legion rising，或者多开放arena的一个地图，我都不会觉得不值而是觉得这是支持你的小团队的必选项，因为sythetik确实很好玩。希望各位网友们在购入arena的dlc时多看一眼我的评论，想体验完全体只能购入legion rising，arena的dlc是不必要购买项，除非你想支持开发团队。 I don’t understand why Arena and Legion Rising were split into separate titles, and the developers never properly clarified the differences between the two. Since this game is quite niche, I only managed to figure it out after digging through every major social media platform.What confuses and frustrates me even more is that I spent 30 Chinese yuan on the Arena DLC, only to receive a handful of extra weapons and a Hard Mode—and that Hard Mode is merely available for a trial playthrough. If they’d bundled this DLC into Legion Rising, or just added one extra map to Arena, I wouldn’t have felt ripped off at all; instead, I would’ve happily bought it as a way to support their small indie team, because Synthetik is genuinely an amazing game. Game is near perfect even on it's free version. Best top-down shooter I've ever played.
this is a demo for the full game. its a fast paced, simple, arcade, non-engaging top-down shooter. the rougelike mode is fun, at least for a bit. the others are not. for some reason it has a reloading minigame and grind 😕 camera is not fixed to your character and can you get lost, especially at the edges of the maps. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3710713604
