This is such a pretty and cute game, it's fun to explore for all the secrets like Captain Toad :) The gameplay is kinda hard for me so I have to play on easy-baby-mode (tower defense is too much for my tiny brain) I asked the developer why the Nands want to steal the Nimbers (will they eat them?) and she said that they just want to be friends!! this is the cutest game in the universe! the developers are very nice people and I can't wait to see what they do next <3 I will complete the game later :)

This tower defense game with its stunning and pleasant graphics is an absolute delight to play. Its attention to detail, addictive gameplay, and positive atmosphere make it a standout title in the genre. Whether you're a fan of tower defense games or simply looking for an engaging and visually appealing experience, I highly recommend giving this game a try. It's an absolute gem that will keep you entertained for hours on end.

A great little game that gives you an adorable fluffy protagonist to save a lot of other fluffy fellows. I don't play Tower Defense games at all, but this one is colorful and fun, especially with its gameplay interestingly mixing TD with 3D-platformer bits. Finished this game on the first three difficulties and would definitely play more, but alas, gotta move on to find more casual but addictive furry games like this one.

As a try, it's nice and looks cute on the surface. But... Okay, so the good stuff: - very lovely design - childfriendly - secrets! - linux native and made with godot The "nope!" stuff: - turning doesn't feel smooth, somehow clunky - even on easy, it does not give me enough time where it should and gives me plenty where I don't need - most of the secret's give you money only, or unlocks more secrets for more money. But overall, the biggest issue is, it's boring. When I got the bees, I was excited—cool, new upgrades, more unlockables! Yea. Nope. If you don't believe me, just check the achievements. I'm just a bit more than half of the way through the game, and only 6,6% of the people finished that level. (2024 jan) I assume barely any people finished game. So sad to say, but this is not a too entertaining one in the long term, and I think the majority of the buyers also agree seeing the numbers. Kinda sad though.

This review was originally posted to my website.
Why TailQuest Defence
I stumbled upon this game on the Linux Gaming subreddit and immediately added it to my wishlist. I make it a point to support games featured on the subreddits I follow, saving them for future play. The game struck me as similar to Dungeon Defenders, a title I sunk a lot of time into back in the early 2010s. I'm a big fan of tower defense games. My therapist advised me to inject some fun into my life, so I decided to grab this game on impulse.
Story
I won't lie, the story didn't really grab me. I get the gist of it, but I couldn't tell you the names of the characters or the creatures involved. You're some sort of creature, and your job is to fend off other creatures using color-coded plants. The "enemy creatures" are out to snatch your offspring, and you're the last line of defense. Honestly, it's not a big deal in the grand scheme of things.
Audio & Video
The audio and graphics of the game are unremarkable. However, they blend into the background and don't distract from the gameplay, which is a plus for elements that don'…
