TAL: Jungle is a "template" flip. The "developer" filled out a basic maze template in the craptastic ClickTeam Fusion (a blight on gaming), changed the name/reskinned a couple of things, and put it on Steam as if it was their own game. This is very similar to the low effort "template" maze games from Blender Games/Cute Hannah etc and shares the same modus operandi from yet another Russian shovelware account. And, just like those other "template flips", this has zero real value as a serious PC game. It's just a maze game... basically the developer is trying to compete with the kids puzzle section of the newspaper. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no option to change the resolution and no useful graphics tweaks. There's no way to ensure this is running at the native resolution of your display. There's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. The game features extremely lazy, minimalist "art", of the type you normally expect to see in low effort Flash/browser games and mobile apps. Considering this is being evaluated as a PC g…5 found this helpful
TAL: Jungle was fine until level 26 which started 5 50-second timed levels with traps. I almost quit but decided to try again and made it through all 5. Was fine again until level 37... trap levels but this time the limit was 40 seconds. That's when I quit! I play games to relax... not get frustrated and stressed out. So if you don't like timed games, skip this one!3 found this helpful
TAL: Jungle, developed and published by Snkl Studio, is a compact indie puzzle-platformer that invites players into a dense, trap-filled environment where precision, patience, and observation take center stage. It is one of those small-scale titles that wears its simplicity proudly, focusing on straightforward mechanics rather than layered complexity. The concept is as direct as it gets: maneuver your chosen character through a maze of obstacles in a lush but treacherous jungle setting, avoiding traps and hazards while making your way to safety. The minimalist premise might seem ordinary at first glance, but the game manages to deliver an experience that is both challenging and engaging in short bursts, thanks to its quick restarts, well-paced levels, and increasingly demanding stages. The game is built around a deceptively simple set of controls. Movement is confined to basic directional inputs, and the player’s success depends entirely on timing and positioning. Each of the sixty available levels functions as a self-contained puzzle, asking players to analyze patterns, memorize trap placements, and master quick reflexes. At first, the journey feels leisurely, easing the player i…1 found this helpful
Well...... it doesn't offer much play time, but it did make me think about the "GOOD OLD DAYS" when games were as simple as up, down, left and right. The hardest thing about this game is timing. But it kept me busy and will probably keep the kids busy as well.
i had finished this game in one go
Would only recommend if you get it on sale or as part of a bundle. It's a simple maze game with a bunch of achievements (1 for each level). There are a few minor obstacles (and timers) on some of the levels to make things more interesting.
