I'm not a fan of 'pixel art' indie RPGs (and not planning to become one). But I've enjoyed this one. They say it's made with RPG maker software, but it's reasonable to not waste your time on unnecessary coding when you have a good story to tell. And this is Mahabharata, one of the best books to read, which inspired many of your so-loved anime and games. This game is best played when you already know the story of Mahabharata, at least by tv series. Here we have many episodes from it. Playing as Bhishma, Karna, and the Pandavas. With Indian visual style and music. There's quite a lot of content and they say it takes 48 hours to play it all. Sure, there are some small inaccuracies, but not more than in any Mahabharata movie when compared to the book.12 found this helpful
Tales of Mahabharata is an RPG Maker type game. I thought I'd give this one a shot as I haven't reviewed too many RPG Maker type games and I was pleasantly surprised at what I found. The game has some nice game play mechanics and a pretty cool story except the protagonist makes unbelievably bad decisions, like pledging to never get married or have kids so a woman would marry his dad? I can't believe he did that! Anyway, that silly part aside I was quite impressed with their efforts and enjoyed my time playing Tales of Mahabharata. Another great feature of this game is the asking price, it's only $5! I have seen people sell RPG Maker games for as much a $20-25. So it's nice to see a very reasonable price on one that is well made like this title so people who might want to give one a go can do so without breaking the bank. As for the rest of you, you never know, you might like it like I did. So take a look at my video and see what it has to offer for yourself... https://youtu.be/V78vRnRKiiY Thanks for watching, please like, subscribe and comment.6 found this helpful
