Raji: An Ancient Epic

Game is so much fun and very interesting since it dives a bit into Indian mythology. I really loved the colorful ambience throughout the game. The game has great fighting techniques, weapons and movements too. Overall, it was pretty entertaining.

[h2]Best Indie game I have ever played[/h2] [h3]maybe it was fate[/h3] Quick story time: the Steam Autumn sale was going on and I was scrolling around trying to find a good game to buy. Out of nowhere I recalled this game which I had heard about a lot and I was like okay, why not give it a try now. ALL I knew about the plot was it was a story of a brother and a sister, but I did not know about the lore or the mythology. I cannot begin to tell you the goosebumps I got when Maa Durga comes on the screen and picks up Raji. I played this game while Navratri is just around the corner. I cannot help but think of this event as a blessing—I mean what are the odds of randomly deciding to buy a game, then figuring out it's related to Hindu Mythology and Maa Durga, that too around the time of Navratri? Oof man, that was heavy. [h3]about the game now[/h3] I love everything about the game but the 2 most beautiful things that I really loved about it are how gracefully and accurately they have depicted the mythologies and stories revolving around Maa Durga, Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu and Lord Brahma. Fine first little game for the studio. Seeing Raji Kaliyuga kinda sparked me to play this, and it feels more like a prologue to establish something bigger. It's short, there's upgrades but there's not many or enough to make the combat feel a whole lot different. Having the wall running and jump on the same button is a choice, would prefer separate to wall run then jump dedicated to A, similar to a Prince of Persia. Hindu mythology backdrop and the art style are a plus though. Definitely the definition of a 6-7/10 game. Not bad, not super great just kinda okay.
