About Temple of Kasthet

As he was driving home to Wisconsin, bitter 30 year old Brian Teaser wakes up in a mysterious pyramid. Great, now there's blood and corpses everywhere. Thankfully they're fake.. right?

He's only apparently got a few minutes to find the pieces and solve the puzzles if he does not wish to end up like all these dead bodies sprawled everywhere. Hilarious. If he finds whoever pulled this prank on him they're not going to laugh anymore!

Temple of Kasthet is a first person Puzzle / Escape game with an ambiance straight out of the horror movies from the 1930s, with added humour and sarcasm. You play as the (not) brave (at all) Brian Teaser, in a fantasy interpretation of a haunted egyptian pyramid.

Escape from the Temple and solve its mindblowing puzzles before they, well, blow your mind.

In Temple of Kasthet, you will :
  • Explore a terrifying environment in a first person view.
  • Find and collect hidden puzzle pieces.
  • Solve puzzles to unlock doors.
  • Discover the story of the Temple with full english or french voice acting (subtitles available).

Temple of Kasthet was developped by Random Therapy, a 6 developer team (and a cat) from Switzerland. Lots of chocolate were consumed while working on this project.

Would've been alright if there wasn't a 10 minute timer as the final puzzle is pretty big, you have to arrange ton of blood splattered puzzle pieces into correct order. Couldn't do the last puzzle in under 2 minutes.

"Temple of Kasthet" is an ancient Egyptian themed first person puzzle adventure game where, you know, you wake up in a mysterious pyramid and must solve puzzles to escape. Gameplay involves exploring a samey looking bunch of rooms, finding and collecting hidden puzzle pieces, and solving puzzles to unlock doors. Pretty basic stuff. Where it falls down is unclear puzzles, not enough hints, and a huge lack of polish and testing leading to an unpleasant and janky experience. I'm not sure if this is an asset flip, but it's one of those cases where the assets just look much better than the rest of the quality of the game... a glaring inconsistency. There's no evidence, but as always, the biggest problem with asset flips besides the plagiarism is the deplorably low quality of the other aspects of the game, and even if the game assets are genuinely created for the game, the quality of the rest of the game is indistinguishable from that of asset flips. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. Most "free" games on Steam aren't really free. There's usually some kind of monetisation, from nasty mobile app cash shops, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, to any ot…

Super glitchy. Couldn't get through the game even once. It kicked me out of puzzles and wouldn't let me back in, replayed audio, wouldn't let me pick up some pieces, and one time, the cursor disappeared. Kept restarting game, but would run into different issues each time, so I eventually just gave up. Wouldn't recommend unless bugs get fixed.

It's good for a free game. Light-hearted but bloody, and pretty good puzzles. I didn't care for the timer, but it does ratchet up the pressure, which some people like. The graphics are good, it runs smoothly, everything works, and it's enjoyable. I'd be extremely impressed if anyone beat it on their first try.
