About Terminal squad: Sentinel

You were sent out with a mission to explore a habitable planet. You were ordered to collect the necessary information and deliver it to the Center. Return of a pilot is optional. In the course of exploration you accidentally discover details of a mission and its actual objectives.
Terminal Squad: Sentinel represents a mixture of different genres, where the player must destroy the waves of enemies as a mech pilot, using the field match3 for charging of assault and protective equipment. The power of enemies and the award for their elimination grow with the progression of levels.
Game features:
- Progression resembles the incremental games
- More than 30 variants of equipment for establishment of your proper combat style
- Bosses can change the balance of forces in favour of an enemy
- Unrestrained fulfilment of endless micro-missions which do not slow down the progress but strengthen the player

This game is very fun. It has just enough additional complexity on the basic match-three formula to keep things interesting. I'm also impressed that it's exactly as resource-intensive as it looks: it runs beautifully even on my deeply mediocre laptop. You know from the screen shots whether you want to play this game; if it's your kind of thing, you won't be disappointed.1 found this helpful

PROS - Idea of hostile planetary exploration in heavily armed mecha. - Game have some vague plot, but slow that doesn't seem to proceed anywhere. CONS: - I kind of expected something like Tomb of Tyrants as mecha version, but disappointed. - Mostly game is about luck how gems appear, not tactics. - You collect resources and money and get apparently some kind of skills but nothing seems to affect anything. You have inventory for equipment but during playing found only one shield generator. I don't know if there is supposed to be anything else or way to gain them. - There are several characters who apparently excel against different types of creatures but there doesn't seem to be any kind order how they appear. - Mecha doesn't even move anywhere!

Cannot recommend, even on the great sale I got it on. Spent my time dazed and confused, spending money on gosh knows what, and making matches on a small board, when half the screen was filled with a combat graphic you don't have time to look at. Bonus with green enemies? They all looked brown out of the corner of my eye. An easy thumbs down from me, pass.
